Micro Usb B To Serial Cable

This is probably as good as protection gets for a 2-1/2 inch USB drive. It is a cloth (nylon?) covered plastic case with a zipper on three edges. Apparently it was originally designed to take two parallel USB drives - at least it will accept them. That means it is longer than needed for modern serial drives, so just a little bulky. It will also hold two thin serial drives, but only one WD 2TB drive. With the single drive there is room for the cable and maybe some tissue. If you are good at folding the cable, it is possible to squeeeeze it in at he end of the drive, leaving more space for other things.

I've purchased the USA-19HS for all of the field techs on my team because it works reliably, even with 64-bit Windows 7. And, I consistently recommend it to other teams who need the functionality. But, it does have some things to be aware of... CONS: - *When* the USB cable comes out accidently, the driver is likely to BSOD (blue screen of death) Windows if the serial port is in use at the time. Tape it on or whatever you have to do to prevent this from happening. It may not be attractive, but a bunch of tape will provide the tension you'll wish it had. - This product has been around longer than 64-bit Windows. Download the latest driver from the website, just in case. I think it's actually admirable that Keyspan/Tripp-Lite has continued to release new drivers for product line, but the product just works and I actually trust this one better than a newer(?) model where they tried to fix the USB cable issue by hard-wiring it to the device. PROS: - Tripp-Lite has continued to update the drivers. - Never had compatibility issues. - I've used with 32-bit Windows XP, 32-bit Windows 7, and 64-bit Windows 7 on the USB side. - Used with PuTTY to connect to Solaris, Linux, Terminal Servers, PDUs, and more on the serial side. - Extremely reliable (unless the USB cable gets pulled out. For my lab, I purchased the 4-port USA-49WG brother to this device which also works well, but the multiple ports add some complexity due to flexibility in configuration. Unless you really need multiple serial ports connected at the same time, I'd stick with the USA-19HS single-port device.

Needed this for charging from a micro-USB cable. Works great for that.

As an Amateur Radio operator I needed an interface device to connect my serial devices to the computer. There are many USB/Serial adpators on the market. The Keyspan USB/Serial adpator has proven time & again to be the hands down favorite due to its reliability, quality and performance. You will not regret this purchase, especially if your looking to interface your serial devices to the computer.

I have another review that I wrote about this mic, but B&H's website doesn't appear to let me update that review. I've now been using this mic almost daily for over a year. The audio is crisp and clear, background noise is kept to a minimum, and people on the other end of the meeting/phone call give compliments on the detail that this mic captures. I used to use a condenser mic, but that also had the annoying feature of picking up a lot of 60Hz hum. This mic doesn't do that and I didn't have to make any adjustments to the room either. For the person who mentioned they couldn't fit it in a shockmount, it has one internally. That is why the mic is the size that it is. For those complaining about the USB port, mine hasn't had any issues. I accidentally bent the micro usb connector on the cheap cable they shipped with it and the mic survived just fine. The cable, on the other hand, was useless after that. I solved this problem by finding a 90 degree USB adapter so that the connector isn't pointing straight out the back of the mic. It now sits mostly flush and swiveling the mic is more likely to cause the adapter to disconnect at the other end. If your laptop, like mine, is usb-c only, don't try to buy long usb-c to usb-c cables. They are crazy expensive. Instead, try to buy a usb-c to mini or micro usb-b cable. They are much cheaper. My setup is usb-c to micro usb (10 feet), then an adapter from micro-usb to usb-c (1 inch), and then finally a short usb-c to 90 degree micro-usb adapter (6 inches).

The cable is well made, not flimsy. The USB & micro USB plugs plugged in smoothly with no struggle. Recommended.

By far the best and most reliable USB to Micro-B cable I've found. Frustration takes a back seat to quality.

This cable has given new life to my workflow with some of my older hard drives. I have a lot of external hard drives that are older and use Micro-B ports to connect. This has been a pain in the neck to connect to my laptop that only has USB-C ports or to my desktop USB-C hub. This cable makes it so easy and gives great transfer speeds. It worked flawlessly right out of the package. Plugged one end to my hard drive and the other to my PC's Xcellon USB-C hub and the drive was recognized and worked immediately. It is so much easier and convenient having this cable. It is my go-to cable now for any peripheral that uses a USB Micro-B connection. I also love the flexibility that it works with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports, that's nice. The build quality is also very good. This is a well-constructed cable that feels high quality. The materials feel good and strong yet still flexible. It feels like a very expensive and well-made cable, and the connectors feel like good quality too. The connections seemed secure and fit well. I think this cable will last a long time. Overall, I'm very impressed with this cable and know it improved my workflow, which is both helpful and appreciated. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
