Micro Usb Desktop Charger

Neat with a micro usb charger.

This is a great little hub. I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for more plugablility. This solves that problem and then some by adding a lot of convenience and functionality. I love that it gives me some more USB ports, since I'm constantly needing them from a variety of peripherals. Having the SD card and micro SD slots is very helpful too. I have an SD card slot on my desktop, but its a pain to get to, so this makes it easier to use them. And my desktop cpu doesn't have a micro slot so this adds that capability without the need for a micro to standard SD card adapter. My laptop has neither SD card slots, so this is a necessity. The ability to charge a phone or something else with the powered USB-C port is also a nice feature that I see myself using often. And having the HDMI connectivity is a huge bonus, it's been very cool and added a whole new level of connectivity for me, especially with my laptop. The more connectivity you have with one piece of gear the better, and means less things you need to squeeze into your laptop bag or on your desk. And this little guy does the trick. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so glad I chose this micro USB charger from Belkin. The length of the charger is perfect for my needs, not too long or too short. The best part is that it charges extremely fast which is a big plus when charging my devices. This is a great product from Belkin!

It acts as a charger, plugs in with a standard micro USB cable like many cell phones and the camera itself. (I shoot with RX100, HX90V, and at times, RX1.) It also acts as a case for the battery. It's so small. It's barely larger than the battery it contains. This makes it so perfect for travel. With just a single cable and adapter I can charger all my electronics. I bring a few of these and charge what is needed very conveniently with minimal added bulk. I love this design.

I love this charger. It is thin, small and easily pocketable. It is just a battery box with a micro usb port on it. But I must say that this is one of the cutest chargers in my collection of possibly more than a hundred chargers for various electronics. The charger securely holds the battery and charges it either from Sony's camera plugin (not supplied) or a computer via a micro usb cable (not supplied). I do wish it came with an extra shorter (than the one supplied with the camera) micro usb cable. A plus for the charger is that it can keep the battery in it until the battery is required for use. I was planning to buy a second battery for my RX100, but I think this option is more cost effective.

Micro USB cords are common everywhere. Glad to have this gizmo which functions just as well as my OEM adapter but the fit is more firm, secure. Very useful bc a lot of my devices take micro USB which I always have on me. Always great to have options. Plus OEM and some Lightning charge cords aren't durable. Inexpensive (3 pack price is great) to have these adapters on my micro cords or in bag. Naturally paranoid and cautious, I have yet to try data sync with it. Still trust OEM for that specific job. *(This is no directive, I’ve evaluated for what worked from my experience, your needs and results may differ. Engage at your own risk.)

I have another review that I wrote about this mic, but B&H's website doesn't appear to let me update that review. I've now been using this mic almost daily for over a year. The audio is crisp and clear, background noise is kept to a minimum, and people on the other end of the meeting/phone call give compliments on the detail that this mic captures. I used to use a condenser mic, but that also had the annoying feature of picking up a lot of 60Hz hum. This mic doesn't do that and I didn't have to make any adjustments to the room either. For the person who mentioned they couldn't fit it in a shockmount, it has one internally. That is why the mic is the size that it is. For those complaining about the USB port, mine hasn't had any issues. I accidentally bent the micro usb connector on the cheap cable they shipped with it and the mic survived just fine. The cable, on the other hand, was useless after that. I solved this problem by finding a 90 degree USB adapter so that the connector isn't pointing straight out the back of the mic. It now sits mostly flush and swiveling the mic is more likely to cause the adapter to disconnect at the other end. If your laptop, like mine, is usb-c only, don't try to buy long usb-c to usb-c cables. They are crazy expensive. Instead, try to buy a usb-c to mini or micro usb-b cable. They are much cheaper. My setup is usb-c to micro usb (10 feet), then an adapter from micro-usb to usb-c (1 inch), and then finally a short usb-c to 90 degree micro-usb adapter (6 inches).
