Microphone Low Stand Studio

I have used this combination boom and stand in the studio for more years than I can remember. It's like a Neumann microphone...it's not a studio without one. Tuff, smooth and easy to use. Nothing bad to say about it.

I'm only a beginner when it comes to studio video recording, and am using it for marketing and business videos. I've been looking all over for a good boom mic stand that would allow me to raise a shotgun condenser microphone overhead and out of shot. This one works perfectly. This stand is sturdy. It seems like it could handle quite a bit of weight. Of course I didn't swing on it or anything to see what the max was, but it holds my microphone great, and that's all that mattered to me. I would recommend this stand.

I needed a microphone for basic recording in my studio. I found this mic stand to be perfect. Balancing out a nice range of height and sturdiness, not to mention cheap! Recommended.

Sturdy microphone stand purchased to hold a heavy condenser microphone in a studio environment. Gets the job done, and as a 5'8 guy, it is able to adjust to a great height for recording vocals while standing.

I bought this stand to hold a large-diaphragm Bluebird Microphone for in home studio use. This is very sturdy with adjustable height and easy to put together and take apart if you need to travel with it. I don't have to worry about it tipping over. This was one of the heaviest I found for a great price. I highly recommend this product and would buy it again.

I purchased the Matthews Low Boy Combo Stand to use with a Slider Dolly I am building. I needed something sturdy to hold the dolly and pipes. This stand is really sturdy and solid. It goes up over 6 feet in height. I can also use it for lights and even a short boom. I really like the way the legs and knobs work. It makes it easy to setup and fold the stand. The riser tubes are large and very sturdy. It is a heavy stand, but that makes it a solid base for the slide and lights, and it con't tip over. I wanted a combo head for versatility. This way it will work with both the slide dolly end clamps and a light. I even used the Matthews combo stand to hold a large beach umbrella while operating a TV camera for a sports event in full sun. The wind came up a little and the umbrella flapped quite a bit, but the stand never moved. It held everything solid. I'm very pleased with this Matthews stand. The knobs are well made and are easy to use. You can even give them a spin and they will loosen or tighten quickly. The knobs don't seem to fall out either if they are spun to the limit. The Matthews stands are very well made and useful. I chose this Matthews Low Boy Combo Stand because it worked as a slider dolly stand and a light stand. The height was just right for my needs and it is very solid and sturdy. It was a good price for such as well made stand with the features I wanted. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
