Microphone Recording With Stand For Pc

I do a lot of things that have to do with gaming both on console and pc. I use it for everything from recording commentary during tournaments to having voice communication during online play. There is nothing wrong with this microphone in anyway. It may not be an extremely high end microphone but for it's price it can't be beat. It is well built; it's almost completely metal with absolutely no flimsiness or weakness at all in it's build. The things I like best about the microphone is that it's completely universal. It plugs right and starts to work on both my pc and my gaming consoles. The other thing is that it's the only microphone that works with consoles that has a complete line of accessories like wind screens and shock mounts. The only mark I can give against the microphone is that it cannot be compared to much higher end microphones. But it's an unfair comparison because this is the only microphone that fulfills it's specific role.

This is a really nice piece of equipment. I have used earlier model USB Microphones on my PC and was thoroughly disappointed to say the least. The truly professional USB Mic s were way out of my price range until recently. I chose the C01U recording Pak with Sonar LE software and a very nice case I converted to carry two pistols to and from the range in. THis case must cost almost as much as the Microphone, yet they threw it in for free! I recorder my child reading, directly to my MAC and then to my Wife's PC. Great sound capture and easily saved to mp3 format and sent to the in-laws. This Microphone makes us feel as though we were sitting in a recording studio. Way more that what we imagined and now we believe we have to become more sophisticated in our recordings to justify owning such a nice piece of recording equipment! I think we'll do as Woody Allen did with What's up Tiger Lilly and re-dub a movie or two just for kicks.

This stand is working out much better than anticipated! I found some very lightweight attachments and was able to make it a movable PC and recording stand for videos. The stand does wiggle a bit when typing on the keyboard which requires some planning to work around it. I love how easily it rolls to any location on the floor and fits in tight places.

I use this product with an ambisonic microphone for location recording. The first day I used it, I was recording an interview with a couple of musicians and had the mic stand sitting on a desk in the corner of the room, with the boom suspended over the musicians' heads. Quite unexpectedly, one of the interviewees decided to play an example on his stereo, which was on the same table - suddenly, his big studio monitors were playing this extremely bass-heavy, percussive MIDI mock-up, and the table was rumbling and rattling, with my poor mic stand on it. Later, in editing, I was very pleased to hear that none of that bass rumbling made it to the microphone at all, thanks to this tidy little mic mount. Good stuff!

I'm only a beginner when it comes to studio video recording, and am using it for marketing and business videos. I've been looking all over for a good boom mic stand that would allow me to raise a shotgun condenser microphone overhead and out of shot. This one works perfectly. This stand is sturdy. It seems like it could handle quite a bit of weight. Of course I didn't swing on it or anything to see what the max was, but it holds my microphone great, and that's all that mattered to me. I would recommend this stand.

Excellent microphone for very reasonable price. I have spent a lot of time in the Community Access TV and have had experience with a lot of so called pro-sumer microphones that often cost more and produce less quality recordings. If you don't know how to use the gain control, or change the recording patterns you can get a lot of background noise. But both of these controls are easy to set and use. Only cons are that cheap looking plastic volume knob on the front (volume control), the mic has a nice metal housing, is it really going to break the bank to use a matching metal knob, at least on the front? This is a really big microphone, as long are you realize that its going to stand 12 inches tall on your desk its not a negative, but don't expect to hand hold it, or put it on a flimsy stand. As a side note they do have a new model coming out the Yeti Pro which will also include an XLR out among other features which may be of additional use for recording professionals.

Good microphone set for recording guitar and voice. The AT2020 is a little on the heavy side so, if you use a boom microphone stand, be sure it's a good quality stand that can support it.

I needed a microphone for basic recording in my studio. I found this mic stand to be perfect. Balancing out a nice range of height and sturdiness, not to mention cheap! Recommended.

I was recording speeches by tying a lapel mic to the microphone on a mic stand until I found this great product. This one work as a combiner as well!!

Setup was very easy for this microphone. It is a simple plug & play use. I tested it with garageband on a mac computer and audacity on a windows computer. Both worked seamlessly. The audio recording quality was better than I expected for paying this price on a microphone. Vocal recording is very nice (singing/podcast type applications). Acoustic guitar recording sounded great. Acoustic guitar was about 8 feet away from the mic when testing it out. I imagine fine tuning my recording process will only make it sound better. I used the mic to record a band practice session. I just placed the mic in the center of the room and played around it. The mic worked surprisingly well to pick up the instruments (recorded in garageband). Obviously this technique is not going to sound amazing but it is better than I have recorded other times with a TASCAM device or other microphone into a computer. The overload led light is nice to visually show you when the microphone input volume is set too high. I have been typically running at 20-30% when testing up-close vocals. So it shows there is an input range to work with. The microphone base stand is a nice simplistic setup. It does limit the positioning of the microphone on there but I believe this is what is intended. The stand will not allow for a horizontal positioning of the mic. Since I do not need the feature and do not think the stand was intended to do that, I did not take away from the rating. I recommend this microphone for anyone looking to have a usb microphone as a step above the bottom line microphones but do not want to spend money in the $100-$150 range. I imagine it would compete with those in terms of audio quality. If you wanted anything better than this, I would say to think about spending over $150.
