I'm using this microphone for podcasts and screencasts. The power supply for this mic gives a generous boost to gain and doesn't require phantom power. I'm using it when background noise is not an issue. Works well with the Rode shock mounts. This is a very nice mic. 5 |

Surprisingly good quality and features for the low cost. Light falls off slightly at the outermost edge of the circular pattern, but not a problem for small product photography. DC output cord from the power supply is not long enough to allow the stand to fully extend, so need to hang the AC cord over the knob on the stand to keep from hanging the weight of the power supply from the DC input jack on the light. Out of the box, the nut on the DC input jack was loose, but easily tightened. Instructions include USA phone number for parts and service (nice touch). 5 |
