This is a work horse mic used by every sound engineer to record any type of instruments:brass, percussion, etc.

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments.  The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections.  Versatile and great sound quality.

The 451B/ST may cost a bit more but they are worth the sound they capture. I use the 451's for mobile and studio work, recording various instruments & vocals. 1) Silky, Smooth Sound to melt for. 2) Little to no Eq needed (Fantastic!!!). 3) Sounds great on many instruments. 4) Makes mixing time pleasant (I love it!). 5) Leaves me more time to create. Besides the silky highs, these little microphones Pick up very impresive smooth low frequencies; which is what I was looking for in a small diaphram mic set. Another mic company offers a match pair set (which are great and are an awesome value) but, are just shy from having the 451 sound. The 451B/ST microphones makes recording easier and more enjoyable. You would have to hear other small diaphram microphones to appreciate the sound of the 451's.

We use ths to transport a bunch of audio recorders, microphones, cables, small electronic instruments. Made our own custom compartments -better than the pick and pluck foam IMHO. Great way to safely transport and store the gear. Lightweight compared to other pellican models and like the latches better.

The recrding quality and size of he isomax 2 microphones make them the perfect choice for recording percussion instruments like frame drums, udus and other instruments that create internal sound which are hard to capture with an external microphone. The best result often is a mix of internal and external micing; my choice for he internal part is isomax

As the headline states these wonderful condenser microphones are used for recording Brass including all high brass, brass trio and quintets and other configurations. Am using in conjunction with the Tascam 24SD multitrack recorder, a Focusrite Octopre MKII preamp, and JBL 308 studio monitors. The condenser mic offers 3 settings for Omni, Cardiod, and figure 8 settings. These microphones are clear, and detailed and are perfect for brass. Having read the pros and cons of condenser mics vs ribbon, and am glad I went with these for the variety of recording that I am doing. Ribbons are expensive, delicate, and very accurate and warm for brass recording. Condensers are clear, flat, and highly detailed and sound great to me. A big plus is RODE offers a 10 year warranty when you register them online; provided you buy from an authorized dealer. B&H is the BEST and, of course, an authorized dealer. Love these microphones. One last note is this package deal includes a high quality cable, pop filter, and shock mount. Great value for a great mic.
