Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 Remove Palm Lift

I've been using the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard (4000?) for years. I've found that I need to see the keys more often and thought the old keyboard quite large. While looking for low-vision keyboards I found this illuminated model. I thought I'd never adapt to or like a flat keyboard like this but I was so wrong. This is the best keyboard I've ever used. Easy strike, silent, and I can see the keys without bright room lighting -- even without my glasses! A full numbers layout, easy extra function keys, great configuration, easy setup, and a sophisticated appearance. Love it. Highly recommended for everyone at all skill levels.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Logitech Lift Vertical Ergonomic Mouse is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking comfort and efficiency in their daily computer use. Its unique vertical design significantly reduces wrist strain, making it perfect for long hours of work.

It is the only compact ergonomic keyboard that seems to be available, that is structurally sound (without bending).

Prop guards are easy to install, protect fingers with palm launch/land, & are easy to install and remove. Should be included with Spark at no additional charge.

No aftermarket keyboard works as well as the Microsoft Pro Type. And, B&H had it in stock when no one else did.

This keyboard works well with Microsoft's x-box console. I also use the M720 mouse at the same time!

I have an epson 4000 which prints to the 17 size, so I went with the 18 cutter but I do wish I had went ahead a went for the larger size. I does such good job that I wish I had the flexibility to do more with it. The opening with the blade in place is just barely large enough to slide my media through. But it does fit and it cuts very well. It is quirky that you have to slide the blade back to the starting position before you can remove your media but it holds the paper very secure and the return trip does not seem to cause any problems at all other than the necessity to form the habit of remembering to do it before you try to remove the paper!

Replaced a specialized editing keyboard with this one (I've long since memorized or customized my own shortcuts anyway). AMAZING keyboard! Easy to see during late night or early morning edit sessions. Easy keystrokes, fully-featured and takes up so little space. My hands and arms have been hurting a bit getting used to it but honestly I think it's because I've had such a relatively bad keyboard for so long. I think it's just my hands getting used to a GOOD keyboard! If I changed anything it would be the integrated palm rest, but it's not terrible either (I just prefer my own gel palm rest but not a big deal). Easily the best keyboard I've ever owned in 20 years of computing.

The Cherry MX Brown switches are not noisy and have the right amount of tactile feeling. The build quality of this keyboard is solid and heavy. Mechanical keyboards have the keys higher than normal keyboards and some of the brands include a palm rest in the box. Das Keyboards do not come with it. I purchased a polyurethane palm rest to get the right height. I'd be happy if they included something in the box for raising your palm, other than that it is a great keyboard!
