Microsoft Laptop Studio 2 Review

I have used several types of laptop computers, but Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is more than I expected :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazingly fast NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive. I found it very easy to install in my laptop, but I'm sure its even easier in a desktop. So long as your have a M.2 slot, I would recommend going with this Kingston FURY Renegade model. This is my first dabble into NVMe type solid state drives and I am blown away by the performance. It is incredible fast on my laptop and I am seeing insane speeds for my operating system and even file transfers/ copying, etc. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to add a fast NVMe M.2 type of drive to their computers. No complaints what so ever!

I bought it on sale and am not sure it is worth full pricing. I plan to use it in studio for Microsoft Surface with attached Monitor with Lightroom CC running. I plan to use a HDMI connected monitor for camera control on the Canon R6. I bought TetherGuard to protect the ports on the expensive R6. Looks good, so far.

I switched from a Microsoft laptop to the Ipad pro. The touch screen is to navigate , very fast operating system. Battery life is amazing, I go days without charging. The camera images are incredible, four speakers sound is good. i would recommend a screen saver and padded case to protect your investment. Great choice

I bought my laptop with B&H and Microsoft Office 365 pop-up with a discount and I didn't hesitate to add it to my cart.

As I become familiar with these, I now own two, I look at a year old uber powerful laptop an see nothing but limitations to the laptop form factor. Microsoft nailed usability with the Surface. If you have not yet experienced 30gb M.2 buss this will open your eyes on what is in store for the future. When my wife turned it on all she could say was, WOW. Yes, there are some limitations. The port is USB-C 10gb not thunderbolt. The screen is not 4K. But I am not editing video on this tiny computer, I do that on a gaming style workstation with monster color corrected monitors. but for the other 90% of the things I do on a computer, including watching Amazon Prime in bed, this is PERFECT.
