I bought this DVD Drive to go along with an ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501VW DS71T laptop which doesn't include an internal DVD drive. This DVD drive is barely the size of a DVD disk. It matches nicely with the laptop. It comes with a software disk and a USB splitter cable (you will need two USB ports available on your computer to use this drive). It is well constructed and functions beautifully. The included software is optional. This drive is plug and play, however, my laptop didn't come with Windows DVD Player software. No Problem... I downloaded a highly downloaded free DVD software suite and it works perfectly. It does what I bought it to do. It is not a blue-ray player though. If that is important to you, you'll need to pick another drive. 5 |

I purchased a gaming laptop from B&H and yet it had no DVD drive so I needed one to rip, burn and play movies. I used it for 2 months straight and experienced no problems. It copies (non-protected) DVD's and reads and writes flawlessly. Highly recommended. 5 |

I needed quality blank DVD's for my laptop and external burner, so having prior experience with Verbatim in the past, I choose this DVD RW pack. The RW means you can erase the and write to them again. So I can backup my computer in case of hard drive/external drive failure, verify it's working and re-write to them sagain. 5 |
