Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard Review

First and foremost, this is the first stick I've had since the Microsoft sidewinder pro and in the well over decade I used it, it never failed me. Fast forward 10 years and getting back into space/flight sims and the t16000m hotas is great. In the 3 or 4 weeks I've had with it, I've yet to run into any issues and seems to be built well enough to handle years of abuse. There are tons of buttons, most of which are extremely easy to get to in an instant. I wish there were more buttons on the stick but that's the only complaint I've had so far. That being said, the throttle has a ton of buttons too, all of which are easily accessible without moving off of it. All in all, it's a great hotas with a solid build, plenty of features and a great price.

I have used a microsoft surface keyboard for the past decade or so, but the keys are starting to wear off and since I got a new Lenovo IdeaPad I figured I'd try this keyboard combo too. I am pleasantly surprised by the premium quality, how quiet the keys are, and how quickly I was able to transition to it. So far, so good, and I'm pretty set in my ways.

I've been using the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard (4000?) for years. I've found that I need to see the keys more often and thought the old keyboard quite large. While looking for low-vision keyboards I found this illuminated model. I thought I'd never adapt to or like a flat keyboard like this but I was so wrong. This is the best keyboard I've ever used. Easy strike, silent, and I can see the keys without bright room lighting -- even without my glasses! A full numbers layout, easy extra function keys, great configuration, easy setup, and a sophisticated appearance. Love it. Highly recommended for everyone at all skill levels.

No aftermarket keyboard works as well as the Microsoft Pro Type. And, B&H had it in stock when no one else did.

This keyboard works well with Microsoft's x-box console. I also use the M720 mouse at the same time!

There's not much to say here, its the sidewinder and its rock solid, has a versatile collection of tools in it.

I bought this almost a year ago and I kept my gaming monitor as well since this one was for business, but my experience is that this monitor is as good with AAA gaming as it is with Microsoft Office! I'm sure if I really studied the pixels during fast action scenes, I may be able to see that my ASUS gaming monitor is better, but after many hours of play, I see no difference in visual quality. Some older games don't always like the wide screen, but most just put black frame bars on the left and right of the game display, using the game's highest preset resolution option with no distortion.

I had known of Razer for a few years as a maker of gaming accessories and components in the PC market, but not as a computer manufacturer, and even if I did know they made computers, it was swamped out by being somewhat of a Microsoft Surface or Apple product snob. I read a few reviews of this product (Blade 14), and BestBuy had a them on display - my first impression was wow this thing looks really well made - something most gaming laptops are lacking, second impression is that it had less cheese factor than most gaming computers, and third impression was how well engineered and responsive it was. And the power in a 14 whose screen, touchpad, tolerances, fit, feel and finish were better than the Microsoft SurfaceBook and probably equal to a MacBook Pro. Yes, expensive, but it looked and felt worth it. I bought the Ryzen 9 RTX 3080 version and two weeks in I am impressed enough now to actually write a review - this is a great machine with no caveats in my mind, and worth what they are charging - the experience is reflected in the very professional and on-brand collateral materials, their web presence, etc. Razer is - surprise - a very top tier player, something I definitely didn't think of them as. Very happy with this purchase. The machine is powerful, smooth, refined, etc. as it should be and without any obvious compromises. If you want a top-tier computer, not just a gaming computer, this company belongs in your consideration set.

I was SO excited to get this as I’ve always wanted to try out a gaming keyboard in hopes to build a gaming computer for my child. The sound is good for a low profile board and doesn’t sound all clicky. I love the versatility of being able to use it for work and gaming with it having two different sit up mounts. Getting the color change to work was a little difficult at first, but then it was fun to customize it, including the brightness. The battery is amazing as it’s been over a week and still no charge needed. The Logitech G515 has you covered for work, gaming, editing, etc…..I highly recommend this keyboard!!! 5 stars hands down!
