Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 For Video Editing

I have used several types of laptop computers, but Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is more than I expected :)

Upgraded laptop from 8gb to 32gb for on-the-go video/photo editing.

I do video editing, and have two workstations, two keyboards, and enough peripherals to fill a small station wagon. I haven't seen the surface of my desk in about 4 years. Then I realized a KVM switch could get me my desk back! So I researched several models, making sure my ports were compatible and my resolutions needs were met, and found the Iogear 2-port USB KVM met my needs. First, it was affordable. Second, when I took it out of the box I simply had to plug everything up, including a wireless Logitech mouse, external speaker system, and it just worked. Just like that. Plug it in, turn everything on and bam. No problems. I have a nice little button next to my keyboard that switches my systems back and forth, and best of all tons of surface area for my arms, elbows, and lunch. It's fantastic. The device seems to be durable and of quality construction, so I'm not too worried that it's going to fail any time soon. All in all, a great value for a great product that I wished I had purchased 4 years ago.

Pairs with the Microsoft Surface Go I got as a gift for my spouse. She's quite happy with it.

In my opinion, that's the best option for tablet PC available right now! * Silent - where is the cooler?! * Light and portable - even the complete kit (Surface, cover and the pen) is still incredibly easy to manage and carry in a small backpack or purse. * great quality material - it feels solid. Even the type cover seems solid (I am still getting used to the cover, but I am trying!). * relatively powerful - you get what you pay: it is fast to start Windows, run smooth medium-end software. High-end tools like Visual Studio and database development studios could perform better in a better spec notebook, but it's very easy to succumb to its power-portability rate. * comfortable keyboard - I am still trying to understand how such a small and thin keyboard is so comfortable... * finally a USB-C! - I have a Surface Pro 6 and this Pro 7 is a minor improvement. The battery and processor are slightly better compared to Pro 6, but the only item that I am really happy to upgrade is the new port! Microsoft please pay me to omit this! * The SSD is still slow since the early Surface Pros comparing with the competition... Why Microsoft?! * The battery only survives +5 hours if you decrease the processor power to microwave level. A medium to high workload finishes the battery in less than 2 hours. Tips: * I bought the pen, but I rarely use it. Despite that, the pen is very comfortable, runs smoothly in the glass and is very useful to control presentations. Of course, it's great for drawing. * I suggest the Surface Dock to optimizes your work. Just plug to add 4 USB ports, ethernet gigabit port, display port (even though it is a mini DP...) and audio output to your Surface. All that with embedded power supply, maintaining your power adapter on your backpack. * Buy a Microsoft Display Adapter! It is simply a MUST because wireless video transmission liberates you from wires!

Microsoft Surface Pro has all the features I need ... B&H Photo offered at a great price ! Others May Come Close but nobody beats B&H Photo or standing behind their products !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My laptop has been slowing down, from using it for browsing different stuff, downloads here and there, photo and video editing. U til my laptop is noticeably slow. Time for upgrade and I have used this to improve my laptop performance. Once installed, I was right to use this, and I have noted significant improvement on processing, speed on apps, very low lag on editing video. I didn't have to buy a new laptop. Highly recommended
