Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 Ryzen Vs Intel

I have used several types of laptop computers, but Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is more than I expected :)

Microsoft's PC Health Check informed me that my 6-year old PC with an Intel I7 was not able to upgrade to Windows 11 for a number of hardware related reasons. I look at similarly configured PCs as to what I had and a new system would run well over $2K. I bought this bundle, 32GB of memory and a 1TB NVME SSD for about $750. Everything was very simple to install, and if you have any questions, there are loads of Youtube videos showing how to install this combo. The motherboard recognized the CPU without needing to flash the BIOS and in less than an hour I pretty much had a brand new system, much faster than my old one, for 1/3 the price. Total score. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this bundle.

This processor is a great upgrade from my older intel i5 6600k. It's about on par with the Ryzen 5800x 3D in gaming performance and beats it in productivity. I got this for 230 dollars during Black Friday weekend and am very satisfied with the purchase.

IPC's were increased and it now smokes previous-gen Ryzen and Intel. I really can't complain. Best CPU I have ever bought!

Works great, better than I expected and a much need improvement over my last motherboard which was an Intel one. It's amazing when paired with Ryzen 9 7900x and 32g of ddr5 ram, even more so with my 3090.

The Ryzen 9 5950X is the king of CPU for now and the foreseeable future. It has taken the crown from Intel. It's performance is incredible, a huge bump from the venerable i7 8600K that I had been using. I can throw everything at this CPU and it handles it with ease. If you want REAL ULTIMATE POWER this is it.

My previous system had an Intel i7-2600K doing the work. To say that the i7-8700K blows it away is stating the obvious. It's faster and more efficient in every way. Video encoding is more than 3X faster in my few tests. 7th & 8th generation Intel CPUs also have the necessary hardware to playback even UHD Blu-ray. In my case it was time for a system upgrade and there were a lot of choices. Last generation's 7700K had come down in price and AMD Ryzen CPUs offer more cores for the price. I chose the 8700K due to the maturity of the platform, it works beautifully, I've had no software or hardware issues. Of course you will need a new motherboard as you would with a Ryzen and maybe memory too. If you decide to go with the 8700K it will give you years of service. There are always new products coming around, if you're in the market I think this is a good choice now. Availability is limited but should increase so be patient and don't buy one marked up in price.

It was hard to get a direct answer about how to get a 4th monitor to work on an intel based laptop. The problem is that the Intel CPU only allows 3 displays, even if you have a dedicated GPU in the laptop because the GPU isn't a full gpu, but just an extra chip that runs through the Intel CPU. Since it runs through the intel CPU, it is limited by the same 3 display output as the CPU. This allows you to run more than 3 displays on a single laptop.
