Mid 2015 Macbook Pro Charging Thunderbolt

The monitor was easy to hook up and get connected to my mid-2015 MacBook Pro (although I did have to go into the monitor settings and choose HDMI as that was not the default). As a graphic designer the color has nice depth and accuracy (in the sRGB color space) so it definitely fit the bill for my needs and price point. It also looks nice. 5 |

Worked well with my Macbook pro (mid 2015) which I bought from B&H. I like that I have covered my pricey laptop just in case. 5 |

I replaced my MacBook Pro 15 Mid-2015/512GB SSD/16GB RAM/AMD M370X 2GB Graphics with this one. At the beginning, I was afraid I would miss all the specs of the old one, but I've been loving it ever since. Even with 8 apps opened at the same time and a bunch of tasks to do, it has proven fast enough, extremely worthy of its price and the battery is great for daily average to intense use. I would recommend it for most of the people, specially college students. 5 |

Not much to say--it's a cable and it works. Using it to connect a 2015 MacBook Air with a Thunderbolt 2 port (Mini DisplayPort) to a Dell 4K monitor using the HDMI input. 5 |

Coming from a 2015 MacBook Air, the performance was the first noticeable improvement. Working with a visualization software on my Macbook Air would being speed to a crawl. With my new MacBook Pro, speed seems to be a given thing and the true power is when I have to run a few heavy resource software. This small laptop can go the distance, that's for sure. Buying from B&H was a delight. I have not done so for a while, but they really dialled in the option selection so I was able to find the best machine for my budget. I was so happy with my purchase that I bought a second Macbook Pro for my wife a week later! 5 |

For my new MacBook Pro M1, I first tried purchasing Caldigit's new Element Thunderbolt 4 hub. It was nothing but an endless kernel panic with the M1 chip. Caldigit implied that was Apple's fault for their implementation of Thunderbolt 4 ports, but I didn't let them make me stick around long enough to sort out who's fault it was. I returned it, and bought this OWC one and it's been SO much better! No panics yet, sleep works fine, everything returns from sleep (whereas Caldigit's would consider my Pegasus2 RAID an erroneous disconnection everytime it slept), and it's actually really nice having SPDIF (digital) audio out, ethernet, and the card readers. I wish this had one more thunderbolt port out, but then again, I could still daisy chain a couple of my thunderbolt devices no problem. So far so great for this OWC 14-port T3 dock. 5 |

I have been editing on a 2013 Mac Pro since 2015. With 4K and beyond on the doorstep, Thunderbolt 3 and faster, better GPUs have become critical. The extra cores, Tbolt 3 and big GPU did not disappoint 5 |
