I am a 65 y.o. male returning to keyboards who stopped playing the organ at age 12. It's never too late, right? This piano is very suitable for my needs. Easy to learn the functions. I especially like the Record feature. This keyboard is simply a pleasure to use. In fact, my father-in-law, a very talented musician, enjoys this Prestige Artist as well. His final words after putting this piano through its paces, was, This is not a toy. It's the real thing. And you're gonna have a LOT of fun with this machine! And he was right! I use this keyboard with a popular online learning application. NOTE: If you're planning to use the midi output by plugging it into an iPad gen 2's USB input, do NOT plug in the midi cord until after the piano has powered up. If you don't, your Alesis may not power up. The stand for this keyboard is perfect. Not only is it very stable and looks great, but it's super easy to take apart and move if you need to relocate your piano in your house. Just 6 easy screws gets the job done. Less than a minute with a power screwdriver, to lift the keyboard off the stand. Easy peasy.

I am throughly please with this keyboard midi controller. The action is so much like a regular piano. The build is a good quality, and while it doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles (which can sometimes get in the way), it performs flawlessly. This keyboard is worth twice the price. If you’re thinking of buying it, do it.

My son, who is used to playing on a baby grand, is thrilled with this keyboard. He wanted a keyboard to be able to play in his room, compose, record, etc. He loves the feel of the weighted keys and the different sound options (upright piano, old fashioned piano, etc.). I heard him playing the Minute Waltz and Maple Leaf Rag, and it sounded wonderful.

Amazing keyboard. Growing up playing piano, this keyboard is the exact thing that I wanted for my apartment - the keys feel the same as regular pianos with a little texture; I can use headphone or turn volume up or down so can play anytime I want without annoying neighbors; sounds are great (especially through headphone) with a balance of bright and mellow. It comes with pedal and it works great too.

I purchased this piano a little over two months ago to begin playing again after many, many years away from my practice. It has been a true joy using the F701. The sound, the feel, and the appearance of the keyboard are all so pleasing. Although there are dozens of available tones to choose from I stick with the concert piano option, which is full and rich. Beyond the sound and playing experience, I appreciate living with a piano that doesn't look like a gigging keyboard, and the inclusion of the bench is both convenient and helps with the streamlined presentation. Of the few quibbles I have, I do wish the music stand was a bit more prominent so pages of books would stay open more reliably. I also find at times that a key will not make a sound if I press too lightly, but I am still strengthening my fingers so I do not believe this is necessarily due to the construction of the F701. Finally, when playing with the volume on the lower end (below level 30 out of 100), bass notes become less audible. However, these last two issues are addressable and I do not hesitate to fully recommend the F701 to anyone seeking an attractive and truly impressive digital piano to play.

I ordered this MIDI Connect Cable to connect my keyboard to my laptop computer in anticipation of getting a MIDI capable sequencer. The cable is made better then I thought it would be and it is as long as advertised, which is great. The Interface has LEDs to indicate it's on and when it receives a MIDI event, which is helpful when hooking stuff up. IOt was a good buy from an already trusted place - B&H !

I use this to connect my controller piano keyboard to my computer for Garageband and Logic. It's long enough to reach across the room. The cable is strong and the housing is thick enough to protect it well.
