Midi Controlled Video Player Mac

I purchased Trilian because I needed bass grooves other than General MIDI one. I considered buying an actual bass but then wanted to see what could be done using a Virtual Instrument. After reading and listening to some videos, Trilian seemed to do the job. Well, not only this it do the job, but I was blown away. I just cannot say the difference between an actual bass player and this puppy. And there's so much choice of instrument, each one having their own caracteristics. Really makes my mixing and composing easier and wonderful. At this price, you're just doomed not to have a bass player. 5 |

I'm a keyboard and accordion player, and this pedal is used as a sustain pedal sometimes; other times it is a MIDI program switch. The pedal is compact, positive in action, and resists sliding around. In short, a fine low-cost pedal. If it were the ultimate pedal, it would also have full damper action so that partial pedaling would be transmitted -- but there are more expensive pedals for that. 5 |

I use this to connect my remote controlled mp3 player to sound systems for my shows. I love using the 1/8 inch connection, it's much simpler and an easier cable to carry than the 1/8 to RCA. And the summing of the stereo channels to mono seems to be flawless with this DI. It is the perfect companion for anyone who presents shows or lectures using an iPod, computer, or just about any stereo input source to mono Canon XLR inputs. It's a little bit bigger and bulkier than the comparable Ross, but for the difference in price the rugged construction and input options far outweighed the convenience of the smaller size. 5 |

I originally bought the ART AVDirect to use with my remote controlled MP3 player in my variety shows. It works great, but it's a strange size and has all kinds of connections I just didn't need and that tended to confuse sound men who, let's just say, were not as experienced as you'd like. This DI is more expensive, but I love the much smaller size and the simplicity of the design. There's not much to get wrong on this one. And the summing to mono is great. Anybody want to buy an ART AVDirect? 5 |

I use this to send MIDI info from my e-drums to my Mac (with a USB-C adapter). Works flawlessly. 5 |

Has everything you need for a 2 input audio interface (2x mono or 1x stereo). Comes with added bonus of usb at the back to power my midi controller. Separate monitor and headphone volume and drives my hd6xx just fine. Instantly recognized by DAWs on both my mac and pc, no problems with aggregate devices with mac audio or asio4all. Feels solid and looks great. Minor issues are that the bundled cable is quite short. Recommend as a budget / starter interface as long as you are ok with 1x stereo or 2x mono input. I have a larger interface but it's not portable so I bring this along with my midi controller and macbook in my backpack when I need to move around, very convenient. 5 |

I’ve been in the tech industry for many years. As a piece of tech the AE-01 works very well. It sends MIDI to my Mac, iPad, and iPhone, both wirelessly and via USB. USB to iOS needs an adapter from Apple. The iOS app works well. The AE-01 works as a MIDI controller with GarageBand and other apps. It also receives Bluetooth audio from Mac, iPad, and iPhone. It looks well built, like it will last a while. I am a beginner at wind instruments, with only a little bit of trumpet experience in elementary school. As an instrument the AE-01 works. I can play this thing a little bit, and from my trumpet experience I understand I will need a lot of practice to become competent. I can practice with headphones and not disturb my neighbors. The tutorial on the iPad app is helpful. One complaint I have is with the mouthpiece. Buying the simpler OP-AE01MP mouthpiece solved that complaint. The AE-01 comes with a mouthpiece like a clarinet or saxophone mouthpiece. It has a plastic “reed” that you can bite down on. Biting the “reed” controls the sound in more expensive models, but does nothing in the AE-01. Using the simple mouthpiece without a reed is much easier for me, and I don’t lose any functionality. 5 |

The Yamaha USB MIDI driver did not move forward from iMac High Sierra to Mac Studio Ventura without using Rosetta emulator - which so far I have not been inclined to do. I started looking around for USB/MIDI wizardry and found this item. It works perfectly with no Yamaha drivers. Naturally, this cable does not fully expose the MO8 like the driver does. What it exposes is a bunch of routable and assignable MIDI channels. After testing, I was relieved to find out the cable itself is seen as a proper MIDI device, and discovered by Mac OS, and integrated perfectly in both DAWs I tested. (Pro Tools, Logic) On the keyboard side, the MIDI channels follow the parts in multi-timbral operation which is how I use the MO8. I have lost very little, if anything. So far, no delay compensation has been required. And the price is great. And its wonderful. And I'm happy. 5 |

We used this so our Mac that runs our midi keyboard can be off stage. It works great and provides power to our Akai keyboard! Note this is only USB 2.0. 5 |
