Midi Controller Drum Pad Separate Instruments

I'm using two of these, one for a full-size 88 key MIDI controller with a smaller pad controller, the other for a full-size 2-manual electric organ. Both fit perfectly. the covers have considerable stretch - the former is 51 x 14 x 7 inches, the latter 41 x 15 x 9 inches. Excellent product. 5 |

I have a midi studio and was looking for a small pad controller. I had an Akai MPD 18 that I hated. You had to hit the pads so hard, your fingers would hurt. I found the Korg Nano Pad2 and I love it. It has great pad sensitivity. Plug and play with Live and other software I have.Is it plastic, yes, but well made for $ 5 |

The stand is great for a drum pad. I use mine with my Performance Pad Pro and it is very stable and fully adjustable. I am impressed with the quality and think I will have this around for many many years. 5 |

I like wind instruments. This is that and so much more. Nice features make playing sound like the real thing. Tried it all but haven't used it as a midi controller yet 5 |

I switched to playing software instruments by midi at live music events but this is also perfect hot a DJ. I didn't need a full USB audio interface because I am not recording live audio. The box just takes digital audio via USB from my laptop, converts it to analog and sends it by ground lifted balanced outs to the PA. No noise, superb low latency with Ableton running NI plugins from a core2 duo MacBook. 5 |

I use this microphone for DJing, plugs directly into my midi controller and sounds crystal clear. 5 |

We are now short a drummer on occasion at church and so I needed to do drum tracks. There are Roland drums at church and I also have a Roland kit at home. I have a nice Steinberg audio interface for my iPad 6 running Cubasis but thought why not just use MIDI to record/edit/fix/playback the drum tracks. The Steinberg while great for audio (and MIDI) is kind of big in comparison and a cabling hassle with the additional Lightning camera interface and two wall warts. This IK is awesome. Just the Lightning cable between it and the iPad, and one MIDI cable to either the home (recording) or church (playback) Roland. That's it. Sure it takes battery from the iPad but that's no problem. For me it's a feature to not need a wall wart. I am always recharging multiple devices near-daily anyway. 5 |

I think it's a great little device, but this one didn't thrill me like the po-12 or the po-133 I had bought previously. I can't tell whether drum machine and sampler concepts fit into the pocket operator form factor better, or that I'm harder to impress with audio equipment now. Like drum machines don't usually require midi. 5 stars because I still play with it almost every day after a month of use, and I do use it to make cool stuff that sounds good to me. I'd recommend this to someone who wanted to try their first pocket operator, who wants synth sounds, but wouldn't mind limited control. If you're someone looking to advance beyond a pocket operator ever and your looking at this because the budget is tight, I might advise you look at a Korg Volca Keys or something along those lines with midi and more standard controls. 5 |
