Midnight Run Arcade Machine

I have an arcade machine with over 30,000 games on it. It tears up normal hard drives, makes them run super hot and slow. I have had several hard drives go up on me because it is trying to access to much date. This SSD was expensive but worth every penny. The games run 10 times faster and this hard drive never heats up. If you have a MAME arcade machine this is the answer.

I recently photographed a New Year's Eve dragon run at midnight..no moon, only two distant streetlights, no flash. 63 shots, 62 keepers, all sharp, great color, etc. I have been shooting since 1963, with Leica, Hassy, 4x5, minolta, sony, Lumix, fuji and others, and this is one of the sharpest lenses I've ever used. Note: one element's coatings in my first copy did not hold up so great after about a year, sent it to Fuji who tuned it and returned it in A1 condition at no cost despite being lightly out of warranty. I could not ask for better customer service.

This has been great for printing decals for our arcade machines.

However for my Mac I had to delete the preloaded software before Time Machine would run.

I can run my BMPCC4k for like 6 hours straight off of one of these puppies. To be clear, this machine does not make juice.

Life is sweet when you can just print documents that you need right now! I was going to printing facilities that charge minimum of .14 per page just for black & white. The time it takes me to travel to and from the printing place, the gas it cost and the hassle of waiting in line or running into "machine is out of order", is just too much stress. Now, in the privacy of my own home, I print whatever I want, whenever I need it, then I'm good to go. I run my own Paralegal & computer graphics business, this machine is incredible & allows me to do custom printing when I need it: FAST! I definitely recommend getting this machine for anyone serious about their business, it pays off in the long run. Like that $2,500 contract I just acquired from a client impressed by my work. For me, the machine has already paid itself off a few times over!

I am a long time Windows user, but opted to try this machine since it could run both operating systems (MAC being a closed system). A similarly configured Windows machine would be much lower in cost, but won't run OX. For a $ (at $ one wonders why this is not offered as part of the software with the machine) the machine can add server software to host websites, file share, have an email server, and the OSX (iPhone style) calandar/contacts integration, instant messaging. While not simple, it is easier to use (but less powerful and flexible) than a Windows based server. I found that in a small office environment intregration with OSX (IPad IPhone) very useful, and this is why I give the machine a 5 star rating (that and the machine is whisper quiet, but still very powerful). The machine comes with NO manual whatsoever. At this price you would expect at least a few pages of paper describing the features of the machine, setup instructions, and a thumb drive( there is no disk drive) that contains more detailed instructions. If you are new to Apple like me you will need to buy an instruction book and introduction to the operating system and to the server (if installed). When you need help, you are directed to your local @ and serviced by an Apple Genius in the same manner (in the same long lines) as IPhone and IPad users. Monitors and external devices are connected through Thunderbolt or USB devices. Thunderbolt technologies can be daisy chained, but make sure your devices have more than one thunderbolt port so that you can take advantage of daisy chaining. The only other wired ports are two network ports. Wireless support for a wireless mouse/trackpad and wireless keyboard, Bluetooth, wi fi, and air play are standard.

Great and super fast machine. Speakers are awesome. Super happy. I can run multiple applications including FC Pro and Da Vinci simultaneously with no slowing down. Highly recommended.
