Never really used the thunderbolt ports before then I bought my 27in 5k iMac and wanted to use the cable to run migration assistant between my Macbook Pro and the new iMac... WOW it took like 10 minutes! that is as opposed to the last time I ran migration assistant off WiFi an Airport Extreme time capsule backup that took HOURS. Now I just need to figure out what to do next with this cable 5 |

Plugged in and started Migration Assistant. Loaded everything from old iMac to the new one via WiFi. Original estimate was 7 days, but it was done overnight. Drivers for some peripherals needed upgrading. Wacom tablet especially difficult. 5 |

Upgraded my Unifi ecosystem and Edgerouter to this device. Easy migration, handles a 1GB cable modem great, the one pane of glass, DPI analytics, Threat management, integrated cloud key and AP all work flawlessly. I bought this thunderbolt 3 cable for the file migration/transfer from my old Macbook Pro 15 2017 to a new Macbook Pro 16 M1 2021. The cable provided a great speedup of file transfers during the migration process. Besides, this cable can also used for 1) power cable; 2) backup cable for iPad Pro with USB C connection; 2) backup and file transfer cable for future iPhone 15 with a USB-C connection. It is a great thunderbolt 3 cable to have. Recommended. 5 |
