Every time I need (want) a new camera bag, I research bags and, it seems, always end up purchasing something from MindShift. This bag is another home run. This bag is extremely well made. Right out of the box you can see how much attention was put into the materials and how they focused on the details (the zipper pulls, placement of the handles, store pocket for the waist belt, the detachable tripod straps, etc) when designing the bag. I have a mirrorless kit (Fuji X-T2) and the bag is positively cavernous...I can easily fit the X-T2 with a 16-55 and 4 additional lenses. I wonder if the 10 would have been better suited, but its better to have the room and not need it than to need it and not have it. It took me a while to get the bag adjusted to where it was comfortable, but now that I have, I am confident I could use this for long hikes and day trips without a problem. 5 |

I've used a lot of bags over the past 15 years and two of my favorites are made by Mindshift. They are rock solid construction and give me no worries from a performance standpoint. I don't leave many reviews, but this bag is designed well enough that I felt it deserved one after I've used this bag for over a year. As a single purpose driven bag, this sling addressed my photography-focused needs perfectly. I have a lot of photography-oriented backpacks and messenger bags at my disposal, but when I'm purely focused on shooting - this is the bag I use. No tablet or laptop weight and distractions here. I primarily use this as my grab and go bag for shooting sports events. It handles the hefty Panasonic S1, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, wide peak design strap and 4 batteries with room to spare for other odds and ends. What is most remarkable is that for a bag that carries so much, it honestly does not feel like a large bag at all. It gets the job done and looks sharp doing it. Great job by the Mindshift team on this one!! 5 |

I have owned a few bags in my lifetime. Between Lowepro, Mindshift, and Peak Design. So far this one checks all the boxes I was looking for. I love the modular design and the overall bag is very well thought out. I had the Action X50 but it was just a tad too big and I never used the roll top design. I took this bag out to Death Valley on its first adventure and it held up well. Sand was everywhere but never interfered with the zippers and the bag just wiped clean after using it. It also happens to be very comfortable to wear which is probably the most important. Overall very happy and will last me a very long time. 5 |

This Mindshift backpack is the perfect bag if you're looking for the following: - Top notch quality- this bag has it all, great materials, secure fasteners, waterproofing features, with an impressive build quality. - Design - after having several other highly recommended bags for my photography business, they were literally confusing to use. With some other bags you literally need a map to find gear that you've tucked away in a side pocket. I recently returned a top of the line bag because of the non-logical, unintuitive way the it was designed. The Mindshift bag has easy to access pockets and storage of your gear. It's light yet sturdy and I find my gear is very safe and secure. It may be a bit pricey for some but you really do get a lot for your money with this 45L bag. If you need a large but not too large bag for travel/hiking/photography and you are looking for straightforward easy to access design, then I highly recommend this product. 5 |

I wish I had know that these Mindshift bags were made by ThinkTank Photo before I purchased! I really trust ThinkTank Photo bags and knowing that Mindshift is a part of that company really helped my trust in the quality and planning in the bag. When you've got a lot of filters, especially rectangular filters, they get expensive. This case is a solid investment in keeping them organized, clean, and protected. 5 |

Not ideal when used on a rucksack, as it gets in the way when you need to remove the backpack or get in the back, however when i started using it on my camera sling (Mindshift), its perfect...I can leave it on and not have to remove. Agree with previous reviews and changing-out carabiners to a locking-type to ensure the strap doesn't slip out. 5 |

I recently used the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack (Charcoal) for a convention in Las Vegas. I carried two a7iv's with 28-200 lenses, a charger, battery, two water bottles, and snacks for over 30 miles of walking and the pack was comfortable the entire time. The backpack's design allowed for easy access to my camera gear and the well-padded straps and back panel made it easy to carry all of my items without any discomfort. One thing I really appreciate about this backpack is that it doesn't have the normal overtly sleek tech look to it, but has more of an outdoorsy vibe which is nice and can help you not stand out or look like a target for tech thieves. Overall, I highly recommend the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack for anyone in need of a durable and comfortable backpack for carrying camera gear and other essentials. 5 |
