Mini Bluetooth Keyboard Rubber

I have a 2019 Mac Mini that always had weak bluetooth reception for my mouse & keyboard. I bought is as "refurbished" and this is probably why someone returned it in the first place. Anyway, to get to the point, I ordered 4 solutions from Amazon and this Mini USB adaptor was the only device that fixed my problem. I'm using that same keyboard & mouse to type this review. Even though there wer no instructions on the device, I did plug it in, turn off the Bluetooth reception in the Mac Settings, used a wired mouse to turn Bluetooth back on again and it has worked perfectly for the past 3 weeks. My frustration has ended!!! Thanks StarTech! 5 |

Read the fine print. This uses Bluetooth LE, and that requires an iPad3 or better. After wondering why it didn't work with either iPad2 here, I found that tidbit (which I had missed) in the fine print, hemmed, hawed, and opted to upgrade the iPad side of the system. It is a quality product, which on the one hand seems quite pricey for what is effectively a 2 button bluetooth keyboard, but on the other hand is much better made than whatever I might kludge up from a cheaper bluetooth keyboard with many more keys. The keys are lit, soft, and silent, and the device is considerably more affordable than some others in its niche - and with the keys on top, not over the edge, it works fine on carpets (some reviews indicate that is a weakness of some competing devices.) For hands-free page turning it really is ideal. Intended for foot operation, it is a bit larger than you'd expect from the pictures. 5 |

Would definitely purchase again. The Bluetooth is very quick unlike previous keyboard cases I've used. 5 |

Great value for a mini tripod. Rubber tipped legs add stability. Easily transportable. Tested briefly on Canon Powershot Elph 300HS, Canon Powershot S100, and Panasonic Lumix LX-7...all light-weight point-and-shoots. The tripod mount is way on the side corner of the LX-7, but I did not need to compensate for any off-balance on a flat surface. The screw mount does not have a separate revolving tightener. So, either the camera needs to be screwed onto the mount, or vice-versa. This can leave some wear on the rubber platform around the screw,. Sometimes, the ball mount lightly sticks and won't release readily when the button is depressed. Perhaps the unit needs to be broken-in. Bear in mind that I have not taken any pictures with the this mini tripod yet...but it does have a lot of possibilities from my initial impression. Printed instructions are very minimal. 5 |
