Mini Displayport Cable Model

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive.

Works great. It's an Apple product, and it's pretty much the only way to be sure that you're ordering a Thunderbolt 2 cable in the mini-DisplayPort form factor. I needed to connect two old MacBook Airs, and this made it possible.

We purchased this cable for use with a new monitor. We've never used a Mini DisplayPort connection before, but it is working well with no issues whatsoever. The cable seems to be of very good quality, and I especially appreciate the solid connection with the PC interface and the monitor. The product description indicates its use for MacBook products and HDTV, but we use for a PC to monitor connection

When adding a new computer to my set up, I needed a mini-DisplayPort-to-mini-DisplayPort cable to connect the computer to my existing monitor. When shopping for the cable, I found a number that were 1/3 the price, but they all said that they didn't completely met the spec. The B&H cable description proudly announced that the cable exceeds the spec. And, as always, the part I ordered arrived on time.

It is very useful to extend a Windows 10 laptop with a USB-C video output to two external 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 monitors along with other wired USB Type-A accessories like a keyboard and mouse. To have two external monitors, you must have Windows (not a Mac) and you must use the Mini DisplayPort output for one of the monitors with a cable that connects directly to a Mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort input on a monitor. Also, make sure that you connect it to a USB-C port on your laptop that supports video output. I have a laptop that uses the integrated graphics of an i7-8550U Intel processor connected to 2 HP 2415U 1920x1200 monitors, one using HDMI and the other using the Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable that comes with the monitor, and it works great. This allows you to have a 3-display setup at work (including the laptop display) that only requires a single cable to connect and disconnect your laptop as you start and end your work day. It was 4 stars for me because all of this was not obvious and required some research and experimentation on my part, but now it is 5 stars now that I know how to use it for 3 displays. It's a Mini DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter. It either works or doesn't. Mine does. Hooray technology!

WOW! I bought a fancy new LG monitor here at B&H to use as an external monitor for my 2017ish upgraded MacBook Air. This was a recommended product I tossed in my shopping cart because of its mention of the Mini DisplayPort connectivity. THRILLED I did because it came a day after my new monitor ... and in the mean time, I tried two other cords I had lying around with rather bogus results: 1) Old cord #1 was a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt 1 version) to HDMI — Fuzzy as heck but no lag or mouse-move jitter 1) Old cord #2 was HDMI to HDMI cord fitted with Mini DisplayPort adapter — Crystal clear but horrifically laggy and jittery display Obviously I'm not technical but I recommend buying this cable even if you have various options in your electronics junk drawer at home that you think will work ... they might not!

The Pearstone USB C to DisplayPort 4k Cable (15') is a super long well made cable. I primarily use this cable to run a preview monitor from my MacBook pro to a client or other crew member. It keeps extra people out of the main area where I am working and it does a great job of this since it's so long. There isn't a ton to say about a cable but this is built well, supports 4k, and is super long so I'm happy. (I received this item in exchange for my honest review)

It's always better to have single cable, than to use an adapter and a cable. This one does the job of connecting a DisplayPort to HDMI device.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mini DisplayPort is a fantastic connector for high-quality audio and video streaming! Its small size makes it incredibly convenient for use with laptops and other compact devices. The Mini DisplayPort delivers impressive resolution and sharp images, making it a reliable choice for presentations and media consumption.
