Mini Displayport Extension Cable Best Buy

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive.

Works great. It's an Apple product, and it's pretty much the only way to be sure that you're ordering a Thunderbolt 2 cable in the mini-DisplayPort form factor. I needed to connect two old MacBook Airs, and this made it possible.

We purchased this cable for use with a new monitor. We've never used a Mini DisplayPort connection before, but it is working well with no issues whatsoever. When adding a new computer to my set up, I needed a mini-DisplayPort-to-mini-DisplayPort cable to connect the computer to my existing monitor. When shopping for the cable, I found a number that were 1/3 the price, but they all said that they didn't completely met the spec. The B&H cable description proudly announced that the cable exceeds the spec. And, as always, the part I ordered arrived on time.

It is very useful to extend a Windows 10 laptop with a USB-C video output to two external 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 monitors along with other wired USB Type-A accessories like a keyboard and mouse. To have two external monitors, you must have Windows (not a Mac) and you must use the Mini DisplayPort output for one of the monitors with a cable that connects directly to a Mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort input on a monitor. Also, make sure that you connect it to a USB-C port on your laptop that supports video output. I have a laptop that uses the integrated graphics of an i7-8550U Intel processor connected to 2 HP 2415U 1920x1200 monitors, one using HDMI and the other using the Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable that comes with the monitor, and it works great. This allows you to have a 3-display setup at work (including the laptop display) that only requires a single cable to connect and disconnect your laptop as you start and end your work day. It was 4 stars for me because all of this was not obvious and required some research and experimentation on my part, but now it is 5 stars now that I know how to use it for 3 displays. I am shooting video with my iPad mini and putting the Rode VideoMic Pro out ahead of the iPad on a boom stand to increase the sound quality. This extension cable does the trick. I was concerned about picking up lots of line noise but so far that hasn't been the case. It's working out really well. I also had to buy the Rode SC4 3.5 TRS to TRRS adaptor to connect the extension cable to the iPad. You won't be able to go directly into your ios device with this cable alone.

I use the TetherPro USB Mini_B 5-pin cable to tether my D4 to Adobe Light room software on my Laptop computer for my Event photography. This cable replaced the cable that came with the camera and an extension cable. I have noticed an increase in the transfer speed from camera to computer since I started using the TetherPro cable with a direct connection to the laptop versus connection with an extension cable between camera and laptop.

I have connected a Dell monitor to my iMac to use as a mirrored second working station: one standing, one sitting. My bluetooth keyboard and mouse communicate with my iMac from the mirrored work station just fine. The 15' mini display port to display port cable I am using to connect the devices barely reaches so I ordered a 6' mini display port extension cable from B&H. The extension cable works perfectly. I was pleased when B&H came up in my online search for an extension cable because B&H is a company I trust.

It's a Mini DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter. It either works or doesn't. Mine does. Hooray technology!
