Mini Displayport To Firewire Cable

I'm using the G-raid mini for portable editing with my Macbook Pro. This will be very useful for traveling. I was a little worried that it would be too heavy and bulky to carry around the world with me, but it's actually about half the size of a Lacie Quadra d2 and 1/3 of the weight. Best of all, it's bus powered. The firewire 800 cable is a little short but I just used a cable from another drive and it works fine. Besides, I can understand it it was all part of the compact design. No installation or formatting required for Raid0 and works flawlessly for editing. Protective case is a bonus and extra firewire port is great for transferring files from a separate firewire drive if you only have one firewire port on your Macbook Pro. Exactly what I needed. 5 |

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive. 5 |

Works great. It's an Apple product, and it's pretty much the only way to be sure that you're ordering a Thunderbolt 2 cable in the mini-DisplayPort form factor. I needed to connect two old MacBook Airs, and this made it possible. 5 |

We purchased this cable for use with a new monitor. We've never used a Mini DisplayPort connection before, but it is working well with no issues whatsoever. The cable seems to be of very good quality, and I especially appreciate the solid connection with the PC interface and the monitor. The product description indicates its use for MacBook products and HDTV, but we use for a PC to monitor connection 5 |

When adding a new computer to my set up, I needed a mini-DisplayPort-to-mini-DisplayPort cable to connect the computer to my existing monitor. When shopping for the cable, I found a number that were 1/3 the price, but they all said that they didn't completely met the spec. The B&H cable description proudly announced that the cable exceeds the spec. And, as always, the part I ordered arrived on time. 5 |

It is very useful to extend a Windows 10 laptop with a USB-C video output to two external 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 monitors along with other wired USB Type-A accessories like a keyboard and mouse. To have two external monitors, you must have Windows (not a Mac) and you must use the Mini DisplayPort output for one of the monitors with a cable that connects directly to a Mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort input on a monitor. Also, make sure that you connect it to a USB-C port on your laptop that supports video output. I have a laptop that uses the integrated graphics of an i7-8550U Intel processor connected to 2 HP 2415U 1920x1200 monitors, one using HDMI and the other using the Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable that comes with the monitor, and it works great. This allows you to have a 3-display setup at work (including the laptop display) that only requires a single cable to connect and disconnect your laptop as you start and end your work day. It was 4 stars for me because all of this was not obvious and required some research and experimentation on my part, but now it is 5 stars now that I know how to use it for 3 displays. It's a Mini DisplayPort to DVI-I Adapter. It either works or doesn't. Mine does. Hooray technology! 5 |

WOW! I bought a fancy new LG monitor here at B&H to use as an external monitor for my 2017ish upgraded MacBook Air. This was a recommended product I tossed in my shopping cart because of its mention of the Mini DisplayPort connectivity. THRILLED I did because it came a day after my new monitor ... and in the mean time, I tried two other cords I had lying around with rather bogus results: 1) Old cord #1 was a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt 1 version) to HDMI — Fuzzy as heck but no lag or mouse-move jitter 1) Old cord #2 was HDMI to HDMI cord fitted with Mini DisplayPort adapter — Crystal clear but horrifically laggy and jittery display Obviously I'm not technical but I recommend buying this cable even if you have various options in your electronics junk drawer at home that you think will work ... they might not! 5 |

I was looking for a 1TB, Firewire, bus powered portable drive. I was attempting to keep the cost between $100-150. After looking at several products on the market, including USB bus-powered HDDs, I decided to bite the bullet on the G-RAID mini. $was a worthwhile investment. I shuttle my files to the G-RAID mini and keep my SSD with plenty of free space. My video editing friends suggested this model. I like the compact size of it, and the one cable plugged into my 13 MBP is very convenient! It's perfect for traveling. Although I would invest in Thunderbolt, I don't have thunderbolt, so FW800 is perfectly fine for my needs for now (backup & archiving). And FW800 doesn't seem to be disappering anytime soon... 5 |

The Pearstone USB C to DisplayPort 4k Cable (15') is a super long well made cable. I primarily use this cable to run a preview monitor from my MacBook pro to a client or other crew member. It keeps extra people out of the main area where I am working and it does a great job of this since it's so long. There isn't a ton to say about a cable but this is built well, supports 4k, and is super long so I'm happy. (I received this item in exchange for my honest review) 5 |
