Mini Displayport To Hdmi Cable Adaptor

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive.

The Xcellon Displayport to HDMI adaptor works great. I tried using it on an older computer to connect a couple of different monitors varying in age in each one worked. I also tried it with my newer ben q 4k monitor on my main computer and also had no issues. It does exactly what you need it to do. The build quality is good, it's small and compact, and it locks in so it won't get accidentally pulled out. I'm very pleased with this adapter. WOW! I bought a fancy new LG monitor here at B&H to use as an external monitor for my 2017ish upgraded MacBook Air. This was a recommended product I tossed in my shopping cart because of its mention of the Mini DisplayPort connectivity. THRILLED I did because it came a day after my new monitor ... and in the mean time, I tried two other cords I had lying around with rather bogus results: 1) Old cord #1 was a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt 1 version) to HDMI — Fuzzy as heck but no lag or mouse-move jitter 1) Old cord #2 was HDMI to HDMI cord fitted with Mini DisplayPort adapter — Crystal clear but horrifically laggy and jittery display Obviously I'm not technical but I recommend buying this cable even if you have various options in your electronics junk drawer at home that you think will work ... they might not!

It's always better to have single cable, than to use an adapter and a cable. This one does the job of connecting a DisplayPort to HDMI device.

If you're trying to connect your MB Air to a wide format monitor using Thunderbolt (Mini DisplayPort) to HDMI, it won't work. The resolution is too much and will looked terrible. This cable is the ONLY solution and is very inexpensive. Simple hookup between MBA to LG 29 widescreen display.

Works well with my home and work monitors (Mini DisplayPort for home, HDMI for work), and I can even use two monitors at the same time. My external hard drive works well with it and transfers from it to my computer are fast. When I got my MacBook, I thought I’d have to buy everything all new again, but with this, I don’t have to spend all that extra money. What else can you ask for?

Just unboxed and set up this monitor on my Sony PXW-X70 and have played with it a bit now.....and I have to say I am HAPPILY surprised as to the quality considering the price. The packaging is excellent and reminds me of higher dollar items. Conveniently sized instruction manual for stowing with my gear. The ball mount is better than I expected though I am sure there are better ones maybe.....but perched atop my camera which is small to begin with, the whole assembly seems sturdy enough for tripod shoots. Any movement I have is actually in the cold shoe of my camera, not the ball mount...... The image quality (indoors) looks great to me and is a major relief to my old eyes trying to see the X70s tiny built in screen....I may be able to leave the reading glasses in my bag at shoots now!� :) It DOESN'T come with a battery or even a power adaptor, which at first is a turnoff.....and the HDMI cable that ships with it is a HDMI - HDMI mini...I needed an HDMI to HDMI.......I bought those items separate....but even with the $10 I paid for the Ikan adaptor that Elvid recommends and the $10 I paid for an Ikan HDMI-HMDI 18" cable, its still a great deal IMHO at full sale price, and with the B&H great deal/instant rebate discount I got, an AMAZING value....the discount paid for the cable and adaptor and left $10 towards a battery.� �� Will come back and adjust my review as I get a chance to use it in the field. Looking forward to many happy shoots with this monitor!

My new computer has one HDMI and one DisplayPort output and I have two monitors I want to use.� This DisplayPort cable lets me use the second monitor now.� The 3' length is more than enough without having extra coiled up. My screen is 2056x1080.� Since this cable is 4K rated, it works great for my extra wide but not 4K large screen.
