Mini Dp To Thunderbolt 2 Cable

This cable makes super-fast data transfers. I hooked it up to my Xcellon M2NS USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 M.2 SSD Enclosure and was very impressed with the speeds it provided. This cable and an M.2 drive are a match made in heaven and give blazing speeds. It also rated for 8k or dual 4k monitor support which is fantastic. Another nice plus is it is rated to handle 240w power delivery so it can be used to charge or power most accessories (laptops, peripherals etc.). This cable is definitely future proof and ready for whatever you throw at it, including the ability to daisy chain up to 6 additional devices. It is designed to work with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, and USB-C so it is very versatile. The build quality is also fantastic. Cable feels great and is flexible but still sturdy. This is a part of my step up from a 27 inch screen. It is sharp and the details and colors on my bird photos are superb. One caveat. The DP to DP mini cable I got in the box wouldn't work. The screen was black. My PC is an HP mini workstation. I got an aftermarket HDMI to DP cable and did get a working screen. However, this was not the best solution for full functioning at the best level. I chatted with HP tech support and got a DP to mini DP adapter and connected it to the aftermarket cable. The mini DP port on the PC became functional with this HP adapter.

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive.

Works great. It's an Apple product, and it's pretty much the only way to be sure that you're ordering a Thunderbolt 2 cable in the mini-DisplayPort form factor. I needed to connect two old MacBook Airs, and this made it possible.

MAKE NOTE: You'll need to buy a ThunderBolt 3 cable separately!! Replaced an older Mini Recorder that mysteriously died (I suspect a 3rd party mac charger on friend's computer to blame). Greatly appreciate the expanded formats. These are invaluable for streaming capture or ingest to media performance software such as Resolume Arena. Truly can't go wrong for the price as you can buy another as a backup vs other more expensive options.

Not much to say--it's a cable and it works. Using it to connect a 2015 MacBook Air with a Thunderbolt 2 port (Mini DisplayPort) to a Dell 4K monitor using the HDMI input.
