Mini Dsp Microphone

This is a great microphone. It does not require an audio interface. Simply plug it to your computer through USB and there you go! It also has an option for monitoring with zero latency. The default microphone sound level is too quite for my listeners. So, I use peace + equalizer combo software to adjust its dB output level (+18dB). I compared to my Rode Mini USB condenser microphone. Q2U had a more natural sounding and rich audio. Rode mini USB sounded little dull (or muffled). However, Q2U has much more ambient noise which requires more editing time at post production. As a teacher, I do not have extra time for that. So, I prefer Rode mini USB for my lecture recordings and I may use Q2U for broadcasting where recording is not a priority. Finally, this info can be useful to some: Q2U doesn't work with Notability on iPad Pro (3rd Gen), Rode Mini USB does.

Bought this as a replacement to my UAD Arrow. I loved many things about the Arrow, but hated the horrible Windows drivers, the weak DSP power, and the low-quality (old gen) and low number of bundled plugins. This unit ships with 37 plugins of new gen, the DSP is strong enough to run them all at once, and the drivers for Windows are quite stable. Highly recommended.

Had a sound system die in a church and needed something temporary to get them by. This combined with a DSP made my job MUCH easier and it solved a lot of problems for me.

Clearly hears both local and distant stations with out whines, whistles or noise. Sounds like it has some sort of DSP tuner inside, but is very easy to tune in to a station. A red LED lights when it has locked onto a signal on both AM and FM. Very tiny adjustments to the tuning knob make no difference. I was able to hear a very weak and distant FM station with much more powerful ones on either side, usually only heard here on DSP radios. Can not be overloaded with large external antennas. NEVER hears more than one station at a time. Adjacent strong stations light the red LED, but suddenly change from one to the next as you tune slowly.

I just used one for the first time and its a very well designed and relatively easy to use DSP processor. I'm not much of a software programmer and I found this to be relatively easy to use. I set up a sound reinforcement system manually with all of the supplied control blocks, I did not use the wizard setup but I expect it works very well. I will definitely use this device again when the situation allows. 3 inputs and 6 outputs was very handy for my needs. I ran stereo mains, mono sub and 3 discrete outputs to feed program material to other devices in other areas. Thank you DBX for making an amazing product. Michael Moscatelli

Changing from a QSC GX5; a reliable amp but heavy with the transformer for clean power. This amp is easy to match with my QSC E series speakers used as monitors or on stands. The speakers sound so much better with the additional power and the DSP specific settings are just amazing! Other DSP settings makes me want to go with unpowered subs and get another GXD8, 1 for each stereo side.
