Mini Microphone For Shirt

I am able to film my puppets and clip the microphone on my shirt for hands free recording. The mic itself is well made and picks up my voice really well without any background noise. I like this mic and would purchase another one. I can't think of anything bad about this mic. It works as it should. Thanks B and H !!!

Solves several problems at once. It prevents under the shirt microphone noise when the shirt rubs against the exposed microphone, and how to attach the lav, either directly to the body or to the shirt. I pulled off the round windscreen from my Sennheiser lav so I could insert it into the mount. This item was announced months before B&H could get them in to sell. I was just about to order them from Australia when B&H sent me a notification that they had them in stock. The only negatives are: 1-I wish RODE would sell the precut adhesive mounting tape. As it is when you run out of mounts, you have to buy the toupee tape and cut your own. 2-It is hard to remove shorter lavs from the silicone mount IE: Sennheiser. I made a round wooden dowel so I could push the lav out without damaging the lav. When doing this, be sure to hold the mount without adding pressure to the lav mic you are pushing out. In other words, hold the mount on the opposite side of the mic as you push it out of the mount. If you have a spare lav you can just leave it in.

The microphone adapter, performs like a shirt, and does the job was created for. It is extremely bouquet for performs like a shirt, and does the job was created for. It is extremely Big for a go pro item. Hopefully a future version will be much smaller. I do use it to vlog so the microphone adapter is not in the way considering I am also adding a rode microphone to the GoPro.

It is palm sized, light and slips into a shirt pocket. The mini ball head rotates and so can be used on uneven surfaces. Very practrical.

This is a great microphone. It does not require an audio interface. Simply plug it to your computer through USB and there you go! It also has an option for monitoring with zero latency. The default microphone sound level is too quite for my listeners. So, I use peace + equalizer combo software to adjust its dB output level (+18dB). I compared to my Rode Mini USB condenser microphone. Q2U had a more natural sounding and rich audio. Rode mini USB sounded little dull (or muffled). However, Q2U has much more ambient noise which requires more editing time at post production. As a teacher, I do not have extra time for that. So, I prefer Rode mini USB for my lecture recordings and I may use Q2U for broadcasting where recording is not a priority. Finally, this info can be useful to some: Q2U doesn't work with Notability on iPad Pro (3rd Gen), Rode Mini USB does.
