Mini Pci Express Slot

I have an older MacbookPro 17 with a PCI express slot that I use an ESATA adaptor on, and this smaller portable HD enclosure is perfect. It's the only one that exists as far as I can tell.

It is what it is. It's a Thunderbolt Cable, which is a hardware interface that combines PCI Express and DisplayPort into one signal.

We use the PCI Express to input our live stream encoding feed from the program out of our ATEM switcher. The SDI card is simple and to the point. Easy setup. Perfect integration into our Blackmagic system. Exactly what we needed.

I bought the i9-10920X as a replacement for my i7-7820X because I was in need of more PCI express lanes. Overall, it feels more responsive and the extra 4 cores are nice to have. However, if I was building a brand new machine, I would probably wait for Intel's next gen to come out.

I was skeptical about the loss of PCI express lanes coming from X99, but I think consumer CPUs have finally caught up with multithreading performance of HEDT CPUs from the Broadwell-E generation.

Easy to install in a PCI_1 slot. Just plug in and download the drivers from ASUS. The included cable is to enable bluetooth. Has great range even through floors.

Requires bifurcation and works in 8x PCI-E slot (16x physical) with 2 drives in slot 1 - 2. Before I turned on bifurcation in the motherboard bios (was set to auto initially), only 1 drive was visible. After setting it to on, both drives were shown. PCB bends a little bit on on 4 corners where you screw down the heat-sink. Fan is too loud for my home desktop setup so I just shut it off with the switch on the back. I will typically be using these drives for storage and light reads so I won't need the fan. There is enough case fan airflow to keep it cool enough for my usage.

It’s my 3rd tuf motherboard. I really like them for they look like and offered functionality. My main usage is lots of computation and not an overclocking. This one was a tough nut to get 96gb of ram working however at the end I was able to boot it and use it accordingly. WiFi is mediatec. Works great so far. Sound card quality is great. Really like it. PCI 5Gen is a bonus. Right now my 4070 Ti Super just enough for my needs but it’s only 4Gen. The bottom PCI x16 slot is positioned in a way that only 1 slot card can fit. Two GPUs are possible however keep in mind that it will be limited to 4 lanes only. Tried it with my 1660 super . But overall productivity may not be as good as it can be for dual x8 setup. Yet I’d buy it again and not the others similar to that mobo

The install is as simple as it gets, just insert the card into an available PCI slot and let Windows take care of the rest. Once the card is installed and ready to go, Being an internal component of the PC now, this capture card removed all external possibilities of latency. Great product.
