Mini Usb Monitor Samsung

I bought the touch USB c portable monitor for my new mini pc the size of a cell phone. I had to learn quick about the usb c port and usb c cables. The ViewSonic charger powers the mini pc, and the mini pc powers and feeds video to this monitor all via one cable. I looked at many other Chinese made monitor and read many reviews. Very mixed. I decided that I would be better off with a name brand. I siwh the manual gave more detailed and necessary info on usb c cables in case the user need longer or new cables. Not all USB c cables are the same at all. I had to do my own research and learn about the specs of USB c cables. When you use cables other than the ones that came with the monitor, you need to get the right ones. Otherwise, you will have issues. Overall, I am very happy. It looks stylish, comes with all the cables and cover.

I have this connected to a Mac Mini and connecting USB 3.0 card reader, USB 3.0 Samsung portable SSD and LaCie USB 3.0 portable external hard drive and can have all plugged in at once.

I was looking to purchase the Samsung Odyssey 49 monitor, when its price went up just as I was about to buy it. So, I switched to this ASUS ROG monitor, which, at that time was around $300 less expensive. This turned out to be a very good decision for a number of reasons: - I use this plugged in to my work computer, which does not require the monitor to be bleeding edge. This perfectly checks the box - it gives me everything I need and more, and doesn't come with a hefty price tag associated with features I would never require. - This has a curvature of 1800R, unlike the Samsung, which has a curvature of 1000R. This means that it is less curved, which is optimal for me as I tend to have the monitor at a 3-3.5 ft. distance from my eyes. A monitor too curved would cause me challenges at the edges at such a distance. - This has a USB-C port with PD, which greatly simplified the wiring on my desk. I am able to connect my laptop directly to this port and have the rest of the ports on the monitor connect to other accessories like speakers, keyboards, an ethernet cable etc. I was able to swap out a dock as a result of this. - While I don't use them, there are also ports for HDMI and DisplayPort, which would support PBP/PIP. If I were to list any negatives, these would be a couple: - There are only 3 USB ports, and I need to connect 5 devices. This is a minor inconvenience, and I got around this by simply plugging a hub to one of the USB ports. - The placement of the ports is quite inconvenient. Having the ports face downwards in the middle of the back panel poses quite a few challenges while trying to set up the wiring. That being said, it is an activity you only have to do once. All in all, this is a fantastic purchase.

It works great on my Samsung TV setup as a monitor for my mini mac. I have the pink one. I particularly like the lens cover when not in use.

I paired the Samsung M80C with an Apple Mac Mini and I couldn't be more pleased with the combo. I've never had a monitor with this resolution and it's made a world of difference in my work....and the game I play is gorgeous in 4K. Based on other reviews, I wasn't expecting much from the speakers, but they are a nice surprise. I've been able to free up desk space and retire my separate speakers. If there is one, very small, detraction from perfection, it's the camera's inability to be adjusted up or down without adjusting the whole screen. Oh, I also really like the remote control. I never did like pushing buttons on the back or bottom edge of a monitor and I like using the remote.

I tried three different USB-C cables before trying this one - this is the one that finally worked to extend a touchscreen monitor from my Mac Mini.

I bought this to pair with my new Mac mini M1 and am pleasantly surprised. It came with a cord that plugged into one of the mini's USB A ports and connects to the monitor so that I have three additional USB A connections in the monitor, which allows me to hook up a few more external SSD's without any hassle. The screen is bright, clear with rich color, although when I calibrated the screen with a Datacolor Spyder X Elite, I dialed the brightness down quite a bit. In use, it's a really great screen. I edit photos and do HD video for YouTube and this screen is just fine for what I do at a very modest price. I'm very happy with it.

I've only had the TS4 a week, but it's so much better than the three less expensive docks I've tried. The Mini only has two HDMI and two usb-c so running a second monitor was somewhat hit or miss. With the TS4, I can use two extended monitors. One runs from the Mini HDMI and the second from a TS4 usb-c. This allows me to run a RAID from another usb-c and still have additional usb-c for external drives. There seems to be some quirky things happening very occasionally if I reboot. A few times I had to go to the monitor settings and reconfigure. If this persists, my rating would drop for other M1 mac users. Also, I tried unsuccessfully to connect my GH6 to copy files from the CFexpress card. but this same test worked if I plugged directly to my mini and M1 MacBook Pro. The SD card worked fine. . I haven't asked CalDigit yet. As solid as it is, I'm a bit concerned with the jiggle on the usb-c connections. Having said that, I didn't lose connection when jiggling the cable. Because of this, I checked the usb-c connectors on my MacBook Pro and they also seem loose, so maybe this is normal.
