We love movies and don't go to brick and mortar theaters anymore for a number of reasons. We have been using home projection for over 6 years now and our first projector of choice was Epson PowerLite 1450 which we loved. Unfortunately. it had to be replaced. After studying what is now available we went with Home Cinema 3800. It is slightly larger and heavier, but we don't intend to move it around (We have a smaller more portable Epson Projector as well - EX 7230). The 3800 has 3,000 lumens of brightness while the 1450 had 4200. There wasn't an alternate that was in our acceptable price range. On the positive side, it has an outstanding picture quality and also can show 3D movies which we promptly purchased the required 3d glasses. We already own a 3d Blu-ray player . It has been fun watching the Hobbit, Avatar, and Top Gun Maverick in 3D. Very exciting. The 3800 is quieter which is important because it is positioned very close to us. For sound, we don't rely on its two speakers because we've always plugged it into our Soundbar system and receive great sound! So we are able to stream movies and TV ate our 100 inch screen. 5 |

I can't get over how much sound comes from these things, and they are so small! They help make my TV room feel like a miniature theater. 5 |
