It's really lightweight and can hold my weight with no problems. The one foot height gives me the extra height as needed and it's very useful around the house as well.

I followed the directions and had no problems adding the pieces to my 500mm f4 E lens. I removed the lens foot with a hex tool I had and that made it much easier toadd the LensCoat pieces.

First let me say that Im enjoying using this lens. Its great looking and has a nice feel and the photographs from my K1 are bright and sharp. I love the focus ring, especially the focus lock feature where I can dial in a little resistance for dampening. The lens looks and feels professional and is a little heavier than I expected, but thats a good thing for me. The fit on the K1 is perfect, it balances very well on that camera. Now for the two minor problems, no big deal but the lens foot is pretty small. Ive attached a RRS lens foot to make it just a little longer, and the RRS lens foot also has two safety screws to keep the lens from sliding out of my ballheads clamp. The second thing is the lens hood.  Its a little hard to take off. Maybe in time itll loosen up a bit, but for the moment it takes a small amount of force to remove it and reattach it to the lens. Minor problems though when you consider the image quality and the fun of using a manual focus lens like this Irix. This is my first lens by Irix but it wont be the last.

Does exactly what I wanted it to do. It's a much better carrying handle than the original foot, and I have no problems clamping it into my Wimberley Sidekick. The foot is long enough to allow proper balance of the lens with my D800 and D7200 bodies with the lens at 150mm or fully extended to 600mm. It's well constructed and makes a tight and sturdy mate to the lens.
