Minolta Auto Meter Iv F

It's basic and straight forward. I had the predecessor of this (minolta auto meter) for a couple of decades. They were a good piece of equipment. I upgraded to the sekonic touch screen, but had nothing but problems. A touch screen on an item that gets bumped around constantly changes the parameters. In this case, manual is better. I'm happy to return to the Kenko (minolta).

I have used a Minolta Flash Meter since 1981. Kenko bought out the Minolta line and renamed it, but it is still the Minolta Flash IV inside and out. My Flash III lasted 25 years and was dead on accurate. Just like the Flash III, this Kenko meter It is also dead on accurate - if you put one next to another they both read the same down to the tenth of a stop. It's a no frill's. durable, dependable meter that promises to go the distance. Buy this meter if you don't want or need extra fluff. It's a no brainer

Seems to be the same meter as the highly regarded KonicaMinolta Auto Meter IV, but with the Kenko name. Even theillustrations used in the two owner's manuals seem to be thesame. Problems Encountered: The B & H product description mentions a backlight for theLCD panel. There is no mention of a backlight in the owner'smanual, nor could I find any method to activate a backlighton the meter itself. The Kenko meter has an accessory receptor jack that mightaccept the KM add-ons.

I looked and looked to find a correct replacement battery for my Minolta SRT-102, since all the newer non mercury batteries were higher voltage, making the meter somewhat inaccurate...and here they were at B%H right under my nose. A great product...a lifesaver for your old meter.

I use them in my two older Minolta bodies and a Gossen meter. They work well and haven't given me any problems.

I used this to trigger my Minolta Flash from a Lumix GX7, Sony RX10 and Canon 5D iv --- Worked great every time, aaa batteries have a long life and the design is simple, can even remote trigger by hand too

Purchased this Sekonic L-398A to replace Minolta meter to accommodate my aging vision; the latter had a small LED read-out. The Sekonic's black background with silver and red numerals, plus overall size, make it perfect for my needs. PJ

I have used a Minolta V meter for years and the Kenko KFM-1100 is very similar in design. However it's build quality doesn't feel as strong as the Minolta. In use it functions perfectly giving very accurate readings for ambient as well as flash lighting. Just try not to drop it ... you really shouldn't be dropping light meters anyway!!! It's a very easy meter to use and excellent as a teaching tool.

The cool thing about the old Minolta SRT cameras is that you don't need a functioning light meter to take pics. However, the light meter sure does make things a lot easier. I'm glad to have found this battery which outputs the correct voltage for these old cameras. Not sure how long it'll last, but considering it's about the cost of a roll Kodak Tri-X film, it's not a bank breaker.
