Minolta Freedom Zoom 70 Ex 35Mm Film Camera

My daughter wanted to take 35mm film photography. Got her a vintage Minolta SRT101 and these batteries work perfect in it. She has taken 3 rolls of film so far and the initial battery is still fine.

After building an extensive Minolta film system back in the 70's and 80's, when the digital age took over I got by with point and shoots and then a Nikon 1 kit. Now I have a Canon M50 and am able to use some great Minolta and Vivitar Series 1 prime lenses. Fit and finish are excellent and it does support infinity focus. My Series 1 90mm f/2.5 macro is a joy to use in aperture priority with manual focus of course. So glad I never got rid of those oldies but goodies.

The Libec zoom control attaches easily to our EX-3 camera, and simply works. Smooth zooms, and very ergonomic. Nothing complicated about it.

It seems that cameras usually last about 2 years for me. I was somewhat overdue, so I bought 2. A Nikon D3 and H3DII 31. But when it came to lenses, it always pays to buy the fastest and the most applicable size for your shooting needs. I have a 5 year old 24-70mm af-s f2.8 D, not G, and had an exposure problem on an outdoor shoot last summer in Texas. I was dead in the water. Luckily, I carry a 17-35mm af-s f2-8 D at all times. These were my 2 workhorses. I felt a big loss without it. I used a Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto AF Zoom Nikkor 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR for the meantime and could see right away the difference between the two. I needed a new 24-70 and got it because it is the best lens for anyone shooting a later model Nikon camera. Also got the af-s 14-24mm f2.8G ED lens to upgrade the 17-35mm. Add a 70-200mm and your set for awhile. Win Win situation. Expertise: Pro - Motorsport Mag Publisher Problems Encountered: None and don't expect any. This lens is new to the marketplace as of winter 2007/08 Previous Equivalent Item Owned: af-s 28-70 f/2.8 D, af-s 17-35 f/2-8 D, af-s 24-120 f/4 Items I Recommend: Nikon D3

I first learned how to develop and print 35mm film when I was stationed in Japan in the early 70's. I still love 35mm black and white at 72 years old and will use nothing but Kodak's D76, Fixer and Dektol. The stuff and just never let me down.

Minolta MN67Z Digital Camera (Red) I love Super-Zoom Bridge cameras and have owned several. Super-Zoom Bridge Cameras do not typically provide the image quality of a high quality DSLR with a collection of high quality lenses. But they are excellent for many photographic purposes. The ability to easily and quickly move between a very wide angle to an extreme telephoto is great for casual photography. That capability combined with very reasonable price makes a super-zoom bridge camera, like the MN67Z, a great choice for anyone who has a limited budget but prefers a camera over a cell phone, and does not want to deal with the bulk and complexities of a DSLR with a bag of various focal length lenses. My wife and I use our super zooms for vacation snapshots, work related images and everyday snapshots. It is especially good for capturing wildlife shots because many birds and animals do not give you a lot of time to get a photo.  The auto-focusing can be a bit tricky at times but under most well-lit conditions, the camera gets very good images.  I have owned several Minolta SLRs and digital cameras over the years and was always impressed with the quality and value, this MN67Z is no exception from that experience. It takes good quality images and is easy to use.  I really like the fully articulating back LCD, the one on my other bridge camera only tilts.  Having a 20MP image is helpful when editing, even after some cropping the image is usually still large. The menu navigation is pretty straight forward and it is fairly easy to find and adjust settings. Having only used it for a few hours, my impression is very good. It definitely feels like I got more than my money's worth.

Fits perfectly on my Sony a6000 mirrorless camera with an 18-55 zoom or Minolta 28mm with adaptor. It allows me to put my kit in an every day bag when I want to travel light.
