For years I thought, why can't camera manufacturers make a digital camera with the classic lines of the 80's. Now I have one on display next to my Nikon FM2N. I love the Nikon Z fc! 5 |

I used this to converted coaxial from a video player to pcm 5.1 Dolby aes to a Dolby digital decoder. Worked perfectly. I used two part Velcro to secure it to the 19" rack shelf. 5 |

The Zoom H6 is a great example of evolving toward professional level. The tactile feel and controls are MUCH better than past versions of this recorder, and the ability to take a line-in means great phantom powering preamps like those from Sound Devices now have a great digital back end. With a wavering standard for quality, given the landscape of cheaper, quality equipment, like cameras from Black Magic Design (of which I own two,) combine with this recorder to say 5.1 recording is not out of the question, for a very affordable price. For common shooting apart from 5.1, four inputs will handle quite a bit of the daily grind. The provided mics are likely all you will need for room tone and many general recording situations. I have attached many a radio lavalier to the former model, but cannot wait to put the H6 to the test. I plan on shooting up to two feature films per year, and this will be the recorder on set. I was trepidatious about Zoom in the past, but the H6 has removed the caveats and doubts. Given the low prices for their mics and accessories, I would recommend everyone get everything. There is little doubt this system will fail to impress. Once upon a time we were stuck with analog Nagras. Many of the greatest films of all time used antiquated technologies which seemed fine until the digital future jumped up to greet us. The Zoom H6 fits into the mindset of the digital filmmaker. 5 |

The best camera in the world is the one you carry with you, so I always carry a Minox B. Because the Minox has a fixed aperture f3.5), it helps to have a slow film, otherwise you are using 1/1000 sec and maybe even the ND filter half the time. The RPX25 is ASA25, and when developed in Rodinal (1:50) for 11 minutes gives really sharp, fine grain negatives that withstand reasonably large enlarging. 6x8”. When you considered the negative is 8x11mm, that is pretty good. This is my film of choice for fine grain and wide aperture. 5 |

In my opinion, B+W make the best quality filters available today. I use them on my digital cameras and on my classic Leica. This is just a great quality simple UV filter that works. Good stuff. 5 |
