The Canon R5 mirrorless camera sports a new lens mount that is not directly compatible with any of it's old lenses. However, Canon offers several version of the lens adapter that allows some versions of it's legacy lenses to be mounted to the R5. Luckily for me, all of the Canon lenses that I still use on my Canon 80D are compatible with this adapter. The control ring is very handy because it allows you to select which camera function it can modify and see while you are looking through the viewfinder. Some reviewers have commented that they are not happy with the additional length the adapter adds to the camera-lens combination. This is not an issue for me at all. 5 |
