As a documentary photographer, I really appreciate what Nikon has done with the S lenses. Although Nikon has received a lot of criticisms on not making use of the larger Z mount, the well priced optically beautiful S lenses have made transitioning to the mirrorless system much easier. The 35mm f/1.4G was my go to lens while doing documentary work. Naturally I was drawn to buying the 35mm S lens. I must say, this lens is no short of the F mount f/1.4. I'm really glad I made the switch to mirrorless. It has made my workflow easier, lighter and more intuitive. 5 |
