Mirrorless Camera With Mic Port

This is a great microphone for vlogging, especially on a smaller, mirrorless camera. I use this mic with my Sony a6400. I use a smallrig cage setup, so it doesn’t block the flip up screen. I really like this mic for vlogging because you don’t have to worry about turning it off and on, or dying because it doesn’t take a battery. Small & compact, but very effective. B&H got my order to me within 24 hours too. All in all, I’m extremely happy with my purchase and can’t wait to make more purchases through B&H

This mic is an excellent choice for GoPro or mirrorless camera users who want an external mic that won’t block a selfie screen. Since it doesn’t require a hot shoe, it’s good for a Sony a6400 or a Sony RX100 vii, for example. Even though it’s called “omnidirectional,” it’s actually a directional mic that can be swiveled forward or backward. I haven’t tried it outdoors but I assume if you put a small “dead cat” over it, it would perform quite well outside. Nice accessory for 25 bucks.

I was really impressed with the sound and build quality of this small mic. I use this on a mirrorless camera that I use in video. I like that I do not need batteries for it, just plug in and go.

This mic is well worth the investment to capture much better audio from a DSLR or mirrorless camera. I use it for both types of camera bodies and I've been very satisfied with it as an on-board mic when capturing b-roll on the go.

This is a little shotgun mic specifically designed or mirrorless or DSLR video shoots. It's easy to set up and has a low profile. Insert the batteries and you're ready to go. One of the best features is that it turns on when you turn on the camera, or in my case, my little camera-mounted mixer, then shuts off when the camera is off. Sound is clean and clear if you're in a good range from your subject. The added fuzzy wind screen is a bonus!

So yes. First off this thing cleans up your audio from external mics very well. I've tried this on my motorcycle with the gain set to -10db and it turned out very clear (I am still editing that video). It fits nice and tight onto the side of your Action 3/4. Something to note....you WILL need to remove your usb-c access door to use this. Lucky for you, it removes easily by design and yessss it fits Into your camera while your camera is still in a cage. Another thing is you CAN use the usb-c port to charge your camera while still using the 3.5mm jack to plug a mic into while recording. - The 3.5mm jack is a TRS port so your mic has to have 2 lines on the 3.5mm end (not 3) in order to work with this adapter. - You cannot use the usb-c port of this mic adapter with a usb-c microphone as that mic will not work. If you have a usb-c microphone, plug it directly into the camera to use it. - the usb-c port of this adapter can be used to transfer files from the camera to your phone/laptop/tablet or PC or charge the camera ONLY.

I purchased this to connect my mic to my canon vixia hf m52 and it works wonderfully! I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to connect a mic to thier camera who only has a mic port on the camera but an actual xlr port on the mic. Thank b&h for the great deal!

Using the AC Adapter allows me to keep my camera powered and free's up the USB port on the camera to power my mic!
