I recently had a kayak race in mid-Missouri and wanted to take my waterproof Olympus camera, I charged the battery overnight and tried it the next day. Only to find that the battery wouldn't hold a charge! This model (850SW) has been replaced by newer models so the battery isn't one that you can go to a big box store and pick one up (although those stores did carry take model at one time). I purchased this to use at my in-laws cottage strictly as a security camera. With no one there 6 months out of the year and it being closed up without any electricity; it is nice to be able to keep track of the exterior.
