Last year I decided to upgrade from the 5D MK II to the MK III, but I was short of cash and in despair. I read Canon had released another full frame for almost half of the price (back then). Reading the reviews, my mind was set. I am a professional photographer and although I bought it as a backup to my old MK II that had been giving me headaches (such as losing all photos from a shoot due to miscommunication from card to camera), I decided to use it as my main camera and was never disappointed. The image quality with L lenses is superior to that of the 5D MK II, the focus is faster. With my 85mm f/1.2 I never miss a shot. Ever. They are always tack sharp. The wifi is the thing that got me faithful to this little camera. I connect it with my iPad in every shoot and clients are always in awe that I don't have to shoot tethered to my computer. It jammed only once when I was shooting out in the open in a sweltering day and the client insisted in checking the previous photos while I was still shooting. It probably overheated. I still want to buy a Canon 5D Mk III or a Mk IV, sell the Mk II and keep my 6D. It was my best purchase in the past year. 5 |
