Needed a slim sleek bag to mob around the city that's attractive to look at, relatively discreet, and holds two camera bodies, two lenses, a 14 laptop, a Holdfast harness, flash, and still have room for other odds and ends. This gets all of that done once you remove the divider between the camera compartment and the main compartment. On lighter days when I'm just running to meetings and maybe taking some timelapses in the streets of NYC, I can fit a DSLR with a wide lens and a BeFree tripod inside with plenty of room for more lenses or my Atomos Ninja V. You can combine this with the MR2200ac mesh router and have whole-home network coverage. Synology absolutely created a Ferrari of a router at a Chevy price point.

Living in an area subject to wildfires & other natural disasters, I am quite diligent about backing up our home computing. This is the third of these WD drives I own. While the price of SSD storage has dropped, I find these portable HDDs still cost about 4 times less than SSD-based storage. Their compact size takes up little space in my disaster “go bag.” With so much of our lives & work now stored digitally, everyone should adopt a strategy for recovering from disasters. I bought this particular case as part of my computer backup strategy - I wanted a rugged case that could hold up to 4 external hard drives so I can rotate my backups onto 1TB drives and then store the backup disks off site. I figured the yellow case would have higher visibility in a worst case where I would have to scramble to find it. The pick/pluck foam interior is very simple to use - conveniently partially cut in 1/4 squares so it's easy to pull out just as much as you need. I've used knives to cut the solid foam in Halliburton cases and they never end up as clean-looking as this.

I've been adjusting/planning my content strategy for 2018 and decided to intergrate video as part of my tactics. I bought a Nikon D3400 mostly because of the lower price point but I� overlooked a few key things I needed, one was a camera monitor because as I know now this model does not have a flip out screen. I recently upgraded my mobile phone and I use my iPhone 6s+ mobile phone paired with the Vello Extenda. Works perfectly. I have noticed though that the charge doesn't last very long on the Vello Extenda so I basically keep it plugged in while shooting my film.

I have been using Elgato products since the Game Capture HD with a 2009 iMac. I used to light up my elgato green screen with a cheap USB powered LED work light set on the floor. It managed for the most part, but far from an ideal solution. The jump to the Key Light was like night and day, literally. Having full control over colour temperature and brightness made my lighting look instantly professional. Being able to control every option via the iOS app over WiFi meant the Key Light became the main source of lighting in my tiny apartment, and still is.
