Read the fine print. This uses Bluetooth LE, and that requires an iPad3 or better. After wondering why it didn't work with either iPad2 here, I found that tidbit (which I had missed) in the fine print, hemmed, hawed, and opted to upgrade the iPad side of the system. It is a quality product, which on the one hand seems quite pricey for what is effectively a 2 button bluetooth keyboard, but on the other hand is much better made than whatever I might kludge up from a cheaper bluetooth keyboard with many more keys. The keys are lit, soft, and silent, and the device is considerably more affordable than some others in its niche - and with the keys on top, not over the edge, it works fine on carpets (some reviews indicate that is a weakness of some competing devices.) For hands-free page turning it really is ideal. Intended for foot operation, it is a bit larger than you'd expect from the pictures. 5 |

Custom pin out for a DB25 cable was needed. Additional cables for a variety of our switchers will be need for mobile applications. This was the perfect solution with less cables in our studio. 5 |

We recently added a few of these cascade 8 pin cables to our mobile rig in order to gain better control of our PTZ Optics cameras. We have been using the supplied IR remote control, but sometimes it was difficult to make it work because of line of sight and other factors. We bought a PTZ joystick controller and then wired up the cameras for control. Once it was set up, we had excellent control over the wire! 5 |
