This is a great stand for the home studio. Compact. Mobile. Strong enough for most amps that you will use for recording. It's setup for a nice boom extension if you want to keep the footprint small. Good quality.

I use Pro Tools since version 5.3, always getting better recordings, in mobile or studio situations. This new version will be used for most of my work, recording and editing audio. It has a learning curve that is easy and works seamlessly with sessions i already have.

I am a singer/songwriter (amature) and I have mics and recording equipment at home, but I was looking for something more mobile. I wanted something that I could plug into my ipad and record musical ideas when I was on the go. I can record guitar tracks at home and put my ipad and condenser mic in my bag and work on vocals throughout the day. And the sound is great.

For the price is a solid product, excellent for a Home Studio or a recording set up.

I use this for the mobile part of my home studio reg. It came with screws and washers, it's lightweight but sturdy, everything mounted easily, and it locks securely. I'm not sure what else you'd be looking for for a case.

Was looking to build a mobile support for my main light (frequently boomed), and wanted strength, and solidity. This is mounted in a folding roller base and topped with an adapter to take the baby pin on my Manfrotto boom. It's great in my home studio space. Like all Manfrotto and Avenger gear it is beautifully finished, no rough bits. Locking collars are smooth. I love it. Black finish is lovely and even. My kit is certainly not lightweight, but in a home studio environment there is frequently a greater chance of something being knocked, so those scrawny aluminum stands (of which I have many) were a dubious choice. I really like this, just the right height for doing tabletop work. I can mount a wafer medium or large on a boom, and hang it over my workspace. Not too big, not too bulky. Just right . . . and so solid I don't worry about the safety of my rig. As always the service from BH was impeccable. Fast, quick shipping, well documented and very little wait time. Thanks!
