Throw away your old scanner. This scanner is from the future. The scanner scans 2 sides of a document at the same time, effortlessly, at the push of a button. You have the option to save the documents as a JPEG file as well as a PDF. You also can choose whether to scan as a grayscale image as well as color. The scanner comes with a wireless SSID that connects your mobile device to the scanner for documents on the go. It literally scans documents and uploads them to your mobile device. The Brother iPrint&Scan app puts you in control whether at home, in office or on the go. You can either upload the documents to your mobile device or save them to a microSD card for later use. It`s lightening fast. Like, seriously fast. I scan documents in as little as 6 seconds. The scanner also has a function that puts it into continuous scan mode for when you`re connected to your desktop or laptop computer. That allows the user to scan large amounts of documents at one time. It`s probably the most versatile document scanner in the world. I`m a huge fan of Brother products. I already have a printer that has scanning capabilities. This scanner has come into my home and has replaced our existing scanner. It seriously performs that well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love Brother brand, they make the best printers and scanners. My work uses all Brother printers. This scanner is just magnificent, super easy to set up, took me less than 2 minutes to do. I connected mine to wifi and was able to print it without any issues, prints comes out in high quality and straight, settings are easy to navigate thanks to touchscreen and it has all of the options you need. Scan to server, scan to SMP, scan to email, and etc., You can control the settings through the scanner itself, through app or a brother software utility on your PC. It does come with all the cables that you need to get it to work without wifi but my suggestion would be if you buying this, use the wifi, you can scan it anywhere. Set up a printer, download the brother full package software, install it and bam you have a wonderful scanner. Highly recommend it for businesses and even just for everyday home use. Definitely worth a price

I use this with an Epson V800. Like another reviewer, I also use the medium format frame as a guide. I originally purchased one of these, however, if you have quite a bit of 110 to scan then I recommend buying two. I recently found an old shopping bag full of 110 negatives, so broke down and bought a second one. To use with Epson scan software, you will want to select regular preview rather than thumbnail and then select the frames yourself. Because it only holds one strip of around 6 frames (possibly 7) scanning with the Epson v series is pretty quick. However, after your 5 minutes of scanning you have to remove the other frames and refill and place back in the scanner. If you have two of these, you can load the next one while the other one is still scanning and that will help your workflow out a bit. When I'm scanning 35 mm, I try to edit in between, but, with 110 I find it works better to just load in between and keep on scanning. The item seems sturdy, the magnetic guide works great. I only wish it was wide enough to hold two or three strips of film. There are not many alternatives out there for scanning 110 that are practical for home use. I originally used a homemade cardboard mask, but, that was a nuisance. 110 is already pesky to work with, no reason to make it any harder. In conclusion, I highly recommend at least one if not two of these for the poor soul stuck scanning grocery store bags full of 110 negatives.
