In this day and age where people are mobile first and videos require to be shot in portrait mode for social, this is a very essential piece of kit. More so if you don't have a cage around your camera to enable you to mount in portrait mode on your RS2. It is very well made and looks part and parcel of the gimbal. It is reasonably priced for the benefits that it gives you. It is definitely worth every penny. 5 |

It works! I use it in EQ mode and as a mobile setup. Very light. SynScan app is good for controlling it and I would use it for exposures no longer than 30-60 sec. For longer than that I use KStars/Ekos environment where I can do more accurate polar alignment and also auto-guiding. I can get 120-360 sec exposures reliably but not always (my mount has some play/backlash in the DEC axis) - its still great for a mount so light and portable and inexpensive. 5 |

I have the Leica Duovids, which are my baseline for comparing any other binoculars to when I am on Safari, usually once a year. I purchased the Zeiss and had them on safari with me Jan 2018, together with my Leicas. I have no hesitation in recommending the Zeiss, and for the price, have great clarity, sharpness, and colour. Compared to my Leicas, I honestly love them both, equally, and are Zeiss are the perfect companion on safari as they are fairly compact. 5 |
