I have a couple Intel M.2 SSDs and they are much faster than I expected for the price. I use them mainly as portable backups for photos and video, but they would work well enough to be used as internal storage. You could use it for a boot drive, but with modern computers, it's better to get an even faster model. This was easy to set up on Windows 11, and formatted quickly. I've had no problems with laptops and tablet recognizing and accessing the drive. 5 |

I needed several fast bus powered drive for backups and system clones. This is the fastest 4TB solution I could find. I tested this on macOS with Black Magic's disk test for sequential I/O. This drive yields 684 / 595 MB/s R/W. There are faster bus powered Thunderbolt 3 solutions - for example G-Drive Mobile Pro TB3 does 2470 / 2230, but being NVMe M.2 based it is currently limited to 2TB, and is much more expensive per megabyte. I am hoping for larger M.2 drives soon. 5 |

At first I tried out the Media Mod for my Hero 8 Black, but I was not impressed with having to remove it from the mod every time, to change the battery. I then ordered the GoPro Mic adapter. Works perfect, and with the SmallRig cage changing batteries is fast and easy. Highly recommend. 5 |
