When I purchased my MacBook Pro 2016 model from B&H a review indicated that they recommended a HyperDrive Hub. I took their advice and I should add that is almost a necessity. I use USB.3 mouse and a USB.3 external portable hard drive and there are no USB.3 ports on the MacBook Pro 2016. The other 5 ports are great as well. Best decision I made.

I've been using this model for years in studios around LA. It's the standard, what else needs to be said?

This product is a must for filming in bright daylight because it allows me to easily see the electronic viewfinder, where direct sun makes it impossible to see the LCD & still difficult to properly compose your shot through the EVF. Even though I don't wear glasses, the Glasses Model Hoodeye Eyecup does a better job filtering out stray light than the standard model and works perfectly without being unwieldy. I actually purchased the standard model years ago for my Canon, but the Glasses Model works much better for me. Additional benefits include improved muscle memory and freehand video stability. This larger Hoodeye allows me to consistently index a comfortable shooting position without fear of mashing my nose against the LCD. Even though the latest Sony cameras have IBIS and many lenses have OSS, the Hoodeye provides an addition contact point for more stability with freehand video.
