I originally intended to save the money and use my iPhone 14Pro attached to the standard controller. I quickly realized that between texts, notifications, Ring Camera alerts, and other on screen distractions that I should bite the bullet and purchase a completely separate dedicated controller. It was the right decision. I would encourage anyone who is going to spend considerable time flying but is considering using an active phone (it is also my business phone) for the screen display, to carefully consider the options. Because it was a business purchase it made a lot of sense for me to separate the phone from the controller. 5 |

I wanted another Varizoom controller but did not want to spend the money on the additional features of the Rock control. I am pleased to report this RL100 has the same super smooth control I get from my more expensive Varizoom Rock control. It also has an LED indicator for recording that you do not see on the other China brands that cost about the same. 5 |

I hated to spend the money but the old Sony controller wasn't working properly. It took me a couple minutes to set this up and it works great! The response time from controller to camera is almost none. 5 |
