I often power cameras and on board monitors from the same v-mount. I have a 4-pin XLR and a P-tap on the V-mount plate (as well as ways to convert to 2 4-pin XLR or 2 p-taps)... ...but often I can't quite reach the monitor from the battery, which for balance (on steadicam, but also for handheld) is often mounted behind the camera. As I get older and more farsighted, I want that monitor even further away from me, and a the v-mount p-tap just isn't long enough anymore, especially with longer cameras, such as Red One's...so I needed to get a longer cable and this does just that.

Now, I can plug in a monitor to my Sony cameras, anywhere. I can see shots I've taken, I can show models.

I have had an Odyssey 7Q+ since February of 2015 and I use it as my regular field monitor all the time.. I have also used other OLED monitors form some of the big manufactorers - however I find with it's versitility and quality of display - the 7Q+ is possibly one of the best field monoitrs I have ever used. It can be used in a large variety of recording modes as well and can even display mutiple cameras at the same time - I feature I use all the time when shooting with two or more cameras - really helps to acurately match the cameras!! I would highly recommend this monitor/recorder combo to any Cameraman that is currently looking for an external recording solution or if you need to record full 4k, 3G or 4K raw from a variety of different cameras. some other other features I like are being able to see the a waveform and focus on the monitor. The new availbilty to use your iown pruchased Sumsung drives with the no available handles and not use the propritory drives as has opened up a lot of new possiblities..

I purchased these cameras to help monitor what’s in the area I hunt, I have had great success in doing so, I have used them in photos and videos, both work flawlessly. I receive the transmission to my phone in a timely manner, they are easy to configure and set up. They honestly take all the work out of the set up side, all you have to do is find the perfect spot and wait for pictures or videos!

I use this so I can record clean audio from a board and have the cameras located around the room. Or you can use several mics and monitor/adjust them o a single unit. The microphones on it also work extremely well.

If you're in tv news and use mirrorless cameras on a shoot and you have a monitor attached you your gimbal, this cable will connect to your Anton Bauer battery and give your monitor all the power it need. I used my gimbal on a protest and we marched for hours and I was able to see my shots throughout the entire broadcast. I highly recommend using this cable to power up anything to maximize sufficient power for any shoot during an extended time period. A MUST HAVE FOR PHOTOJOURNALISTS!!!!

Have 4 spypoint cameras on a remote property. Nice that I can monitor the animals (and human) activity with the photos sent to the cell phone. Purchased the lithium battery packs and they last almost the full year which is nice since it eliminates the 5 hour drive to change batteries. Would definitely recommend spypoint cameras, very happy with the product!

I've now installed LCD screen protectors on about 10 cameras, going back at least a decade. In fact, the very first one I installed was a lifesaver. I managed to drop a Nikon D750 five feet onto a concrete floor. It landed directly on the LCD area. The screen protector was shattered; the monitor was perfect. I picked up the camera, which was fine, bought another screen protector, and I continue to use that D750 to this day. It made me a believer in protection screens. And D750s. Installation of these things is tricky. Read the directions -- carefully -- before starting the task. The LCD screen must be squeaky clean, and the glass itself must be centered exactly over the screen. BUT -- do not despair if the glass goes on slightly off-center. Careful pressure with the edge of Vello's guitar-pick-like plastic applicator tool -- exerted laterally on the edge of the screen protector -- should allow you to center it. If the glass is not centered, it may not adhere properly, depending on the camera. I have never had a screen protector come off unless I took it off. And I have observed that used-equipment webpages across the Internet are littered with cameras that are rated good rather than excellent just because of scratches and nicks on the LCD monitor.

I work on a lot of shoots with a lot of cameras from a lot of places and this will live on any camera I have. It's my monitor, I know it, I can trust it, and it's intuitive to work and didn't add much weight. Seriously, for the price it's an amazing tool to keep your work consistent and I have no qualms at all about it.
