Monitor With Usb C Dock

I currently use this switch to share a monitor's USB hub between my work laptop's thunderbolt dock and my desktop PC. It carries my keyboard, mouse, audio, and webcam data without a hitch! Love the price and glad it includes both USB type B cables. 5 |

Was having connection issues with a USB-C out from an MS Surface dock to a monitor that I had jury rigged with an adapter to get to HDMI. This seems to work a lot better. 5 |

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have several Lenovo USB-C and Thunderbolt docks deployed among our staff and they are always great performers and reliable. This Hybrid dock may lack Thunderbolt support, but so do many of our AMD-powered laptops - exactly why we were seeking a USB option. I appreciate the dual-monitor options of a combination of DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, having always found DisplayPort connections to be problematic. Even higher resolution displays are solid with this dock and some quality HDMI 2.0/2.1 cables. Quickly solved a resolution issue we had connecting a different dock to a 1440p ultrawide monitor with this. I also like that the cable to connect to the computer offers an attached USB-A connector for use with systems that do not feature a USB-C connection. Very versatile, even with slightly older systems. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] USB-C dock does everything that I was looking for. Extra USB ports, dual monitor, and pass through power. Exactly what I was looking for. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an expansion dock for my MacBook that allows a 4K monitor and multiple USB devices to share one USB-C port on the MacBook, as well as provide AC power over the same single port. Despite the claims of the expansion dock manufacturer (Note: not a Belkin device), the USB-C cable they provided to connect the dock to the MacBook created persistent video sync problems with the 4K monitor. After months of frustration, I purchased this Belkin cable which immediately resolved all video sync problems. I recommend it highly to anyone using a similar configuration or needing a high quality, high performance USB-C cable. 5 |

With me from the dock supports my 30-inch monitor, my 26-in monitor, and my laptop monitor. It has two DisplayPort connectors as well as the usual array of USB ports. I will have to add a USB hub to accommodate an excessive amount of external drives. The dock has all the power that I could want at the moment. 5 |

Got this to connect my XPS 13 from 2016/2017 to my 27" thunderbolt Apple monitor. It worked straight out of the box. However I have a Dell TB16 dock as well. Tried using that as well. So the dock's usb-c connector goes into the XPS, and the Startech adapter goes from the dock to the Thunderbolt monitor. That didn't work: I needed to update the BIOS, Thunderbolt firmware, thunderbolt driver, and installed I believe the latest thunderbolt application from the Intel website. Everything works now, even the audio and usb ports on the monitor. (facetime camera doesn't work, since it can't find a driver). All in all good buy, but I can't connect my 2019 macbook Pro to my thunderbolt monitor with the startech adapter. Monitor does not activate. Seems to only work with Windows machines. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a dock that would be USB-C or USB-A and had two DP monitor connections. This one fits the bill and also accommodates my other peripherals easily. 5 |

Color accurate as Dell claims. I run it in a slightly scaled mode with my Macbook Pro 16. I use USB-C to my Satechi Thunderbolt dock connected to the computer and it works flawlessly. Note that if you use an HDMI adapter from a dock or the hdmi connection on a dock, or certain HDMI to USB-C adapters you may have the issue with it flashing black randomly very quickly maybe a couple times a day. It is like a disconnect type behavior. This is an Apple issue, not a Dell one. See the forums online. If running in full 4k unscaled, connect a quality HDMI cable directly to the Mac, or use a quality USB-C / Thunderbolt cable. You will be fine. At 4k native, I think the PPI is just a hair too small for comfort on text. I think the 5k 41 Dell monitor on native resolution has a slightly lower PPI so you could probably get away with that. I cam from a 43 Dell 4k monitor on native resolution so this is obviously a little more dense than that. Regardless, the style, quality, image quality, color, brightness, and the wonderful usb hub built into the monitor are great. No, unlike my 43, this does not have built in speakers, but Dell sells a clip on soundbar or you can just buy a slim computer speaker and sneak it under your desk somewhere since the sound quality is not the greatest anyways. For normal people I think 32 1440p is probably the best resolution to diagonal ratio, but 32 4k with a slight scale is great for getting just enough windows and not being too hard to read. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was interested in this USB C dock for my work laptop in order to improve my workstation. After doing some research I determined that this dock would be perfectly fine for productivity but not necessarily gaming. My laptop had one monitor connected to it but I wanted a second. This dock has allowed me to relocate my laptop as well as pack up its 65 watt charger (since the USB C connection delivers up to 100W). I'm pleased with the results. I'm using the following hardware with no issues. Two 1080p 60Hz monitors using Displayport, UBC wireless headset, USB wireless keyboard+mouse, SD card from my camera, and Ethernet. I also use the 20W USB C to charge my rechargable keyboard and mouse as needed. Since the USB C connection is only 10 gigabits (compared to 40 gigabit Thunderbolt) I don't feel comfortable adding too many high bandwidth devices. I suggest avoiding using multiple high resolution/high refresh rate monitors so to avoid maxing the cable's capacity. I also can't speak to the third monitor support. This dock has been a great addition to my workstation and has worked seemlessly while avoiding overtaxing the 10 gigabit laptop connection. I'd recommend it for any non-4K productivity workstation. 5 |
