Monitors Connected To Docking Station Not Working

Love my new monitors. I bought two and connected to my docking station from my laptop for working from home. Much bigger and brighter than my Dell screens at work. So nice to be able to see the details in AutoCAD drawings without having to constantly zoom in. I tried this on a flight simulator and the clarity and refresh rate were great and offered much realism.

I have several monitors and laptop, all connected via this docking station and it works amazingly. Being able to connect peripherals is very useful. I have my headphone, speakers, etc. connected using the docking station. Definitely a great additions to my electronic devices.

Have had the cables for two weeks and so far they have been working. My setup is a little unique. I have four Dell 1920x1200 monitors connected to a Dell Thunderbolt4 docking station for my work laptop that also has a Thunderbolt4 port. The cables connect the first set of two monitors to the two Thunderbolt ports on the docking station via the USB-C/DispayPort 1.4 port on the monitors. The second set of monitors are daisy chained to the first set's DisplayPort Out For MST port. Using this arrangement allow me to pass the video and USB data thru a single cable to each set of monitors. I did this because the Logitech USB headset I have has intermittent noise problem when connected to the docking station's USB ports, but doesn't when connected to the monitor's USB ports. The first set of monitors were originally connected to the docking station thru DisplayPort cables and then used a separate USB cable to provide an uplink from the docking station to the monitor's USB-C/DisplayPort port. The headset would still have the intermittent noise. The only other way to prevent it was to plug it directly into the laptop. It was an expension solution to just having one cable plugged into the laptop to run everything else. Plus I wanted to see what kind of connections could be made using the Thunderbolt technology. The reason I didn't daisy chain all four monitors with one cable is because two of the monitors are older and don't have that capability.

This docking station was easy to set up. The quality of it seems to be nice and the docking station looks premium. It seems to be working flawlessly for what I need. I really like that it is light and works nicely with my Chromebook and 2 monitors. The packaging comes with UD-MSTHDC Docking Station, power adapter, USB-C and USB-C cable.

I've been using this docking station for the past 5 months working from home and it's been nothing else but a life saver. I have it connected to my HP ProBook 640 G2 work laptop (via USB 3.1), two Dell U2515H montiors running at 1440p/60Hz (via DP) and to my Gigabit home router and it's been working flawlessly, without ever having to restart it once. If anything, my only reservation would be its price tag.

This unit is working perfect with my setup! Just connected it, but was a bit tight at first which I read on the previous reviews. After reading some of the negative comments and my personal input coming from a docking station is that some users setups and devices will only work with a docking station because it has it's own power source whereas this little hub is just simple, portable, and great for daily use. Definitely not saying that it doesn't supply power to my devices, but some devices are just really power hungry and require a docking station or direct connection with the Computer. I have no issues plugging in my WD external drive, HDMI 4k monitor, mouse, and my keyboard.

It is quick and easy to set up and has no issues running two monitors. For me, this is a must-have for my home office. I would recommend this docking station.
